Flight #2 arrived at 10.34am while Flight #1 arrived 30mins later at 11.04am.

Landing in Kota Kinabalu, Colin/Christie, Lyn/Karlyn, Nancy/Emily, Chip/Kim, Oswald/Danny and Tian/Jaree all raced for waiting cabs outside the airport and instructed their drivers to Monsopiad Cultural Village to receive a traditional Malaysian good luck blessing and their next clue.

Once done, the teams received their next clue instructing them to go to the Kota Kinabalu Boat Jetty, where they must take a marked boat to a fishing trawler.

Running to the docks, first place Colin/Christie took a marked boat to the fishing trawler, where they found a Detour. This Detour required Teams to choose between "Net" and "Trap."

Teams choosing Net had to take their boat to a fishing platform and use a net to catch 15 fish out of a marked pen to receive their next clue. This task didn't require strength, but catching fish with a pole net did require skill.

Teams opting for Trap had to take their boat to a group of lobster boats and pull up a weighted lobster trap to get the clue inside. Raising the traps required little skill, but Teams needed a good deal of brute force to complete the task.

Teams completed their Detour and learned they needed to take their boat six miles to Manukan Island and their next Route Marker.

Teams arrived on the beautiful white sand beach of Manukan Island and found a Roadblock. In this Roadblock, one Team member had to hit three different targets using three traditional Malaysian weapons: a bow and arrow, a blowpipe and a spear. After hitting all three targets successfully, the Team member and his/her partner could run down the beach to the Pit Stop.
