Teams finished the roadblock in the following order:

Peetah and Aaron
RaCeDuDe and John Vito
TARfan1 and Gretchen
Heather and Charla
JP and Mirna
Genius and Kris
LittleBoy and Mary

Clue: Make your way one mile on foot to the Tempio di Segesta, the pit stop for this leg of the race. Warning: The last team to arrive will be eliminated.

Teams arrived at the pit stop in the following order:

1. RaCeDuDe and John Vito ( 41.6 )

RaCeDuDe and John Vito - You are team #1. As the winners of this leg of the race, you have each won a Digital imaging package from Duracell.

2. Peetah and Aaron ( 64.7 )

3. JP and Mirna ( 70.5 )

4. TARfan1 and Gretchen ( 70.7 )

5. Genius and Kris ( 78.1 )

6. Heather and Charla ( 78.9 )

7. LittleBoy and Mary ( 101.4 )

Littleboy and Mary, you are last team to arrive. However, because Popo and Marion quit during the leg, they have been eliminated and you are still in the Amazing Race.

LEG 8 WILL BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3RD, 2007.

Leg 7 Summary

Compliments of Alexander

The seventh leg started and teams had to sign up for one of to trains to Rome, Italy. Genius and Kris were the first to depart and got lost quickly in their way to the train station letting JP and Mirna fly ahead into the first train with Racedude and John Vito close behind, making quick work on directions Peetah and Aaron managed to close up and get into the first train with Alex and Kellie taking the last available seats.

Arriving to Trevi Fountain the teams discovered they had to search the surrounding for a box with a coin, teams were not available to open the box until they were told so, once they found their box teams had to made their ways to the Spanish Steps to receive their next clue. With teams arriving at the Trevi Fountain a race to find the best box started, John Vito and Racedude were available to keep their lead and found box number 3, Genius and Kris were next and found box number 1 with Peetah and Aaron taking 4, and Popo and Marion 2, Gretchen and Tarfan1 settled for lucky 7 and littleboy and Mary for 5, JP and Mirna finally arrived to claim number 9 and Alex and Kellie took number 8 leaving Heather and Charla with the 6th.

Opening their boxes teams discovered the first twist in the race which was a Survivor TRIBAL Council where one of them would be voted out of the race, JP and Mirna also found their only immunity for the Tribal Council vote. Teams casted their votes and at the time to read them they found there was a tie between Alexander and Kellie and Littleboy and Mary, along with the votes teams received an unpleasant surprised when Popo and Marion suddenly decided to quit the game.

As a tie breaker Littleboy and Mary and Alexander and Kellie received a set of questions which theyll have to answer in order to stay on the game, once both teams finished answering they sat while the host evaluated the questions, Kellie and Alex decided that if it was their turn to quit theyll Go out with the head held high, in the end they did as they became the sixth team eliminated.

After the tribal council teams discovered they were now flying to Palermo and they had to search for the best flight to arrive there, all teams got a flight at 6:00pm, upon arrival to Palermo teams opened their clue to find out they had to drive 42 miles to the Catellammare del Golfo and search the city for their next clue. Heather and Charla got an early lead by being the first team to find the clue with Racedude and John Vito once again close by, with every team except for Littleboy and Mary finding their clue Heather and Charla headed to their detour choice.

In this Detour teams had to choose between laundry and foundry, in laundry teams have to go to the marked area in town and search through over 2400 articles of laundry for one of sixteen articles of clothing bearing a red and yellow tag. In Foundry teams must carry a 110 lb. iron-cast bell and deliver it to a church.

Choosing Laundry Heather and Charla continued to lead the way towards the Detour, everyone followed suit and arrived at the Laundry Detour, only Littleboy and Mary werent there as they still hadnt found their clue. Teams raced in the Laundry detour with Racedude and John Vito finding their marked article first, while Tarfan1 and Gretchen raced with Peetah and Aaron for finishing second, Racedude opened his clue to find they had to travel 13 miles to the ancient city of Segesta and find the archeological zone known as Teatro di Segesta once there theyll find their next clue, Racedude and John Vito rushed to the Teatro di Segesta while Tarfan1 and Gretchen beat Aaron and Peetah on finding their article and clothing and with the other one right behind.

With JP and Mirna and Heather and Charla finishing next, Racedude and John Vito arrived to the Teatro di Segesta to find a roadblock, in this roadblock one team member had to correctly piece together a classical Greek statue. While the other teams catched up with him at the roadblock, Littleboy and Mary continued to look for their clue without success.

Peetah rocked the challenge and finished first, finishing he opened his clue and foundout the pit stop of the race was the Tempio di Segestia which was not so far away, while Peetah and Aaron ran to the pit stop Racedude and John Vito managed to finish the task and race after the leading team, being more athletic Racedude and John Vito managed to catch up with Peetah and Aaron and over run them to arrive first at the mat with the others arriving in a close second place, for their efforts on the leg Racedude and John Vito won a digital imagining package from Duracell.

Joking about the statue guy being hot Mirna finished the Roadblock with Tarfan1 and Gretchen close behind, JP and Mirna won the race to the mat for a third place while the all-girl team settled for fourth, Genius and Kris stepped in the mat on fifth place and Heather and Charla on sixth, meanwhile Littleboy and Mary continued to look helplessly for their clue.

When they found their clue Littleboy and Mary discovered they had to travel directly to the pit stop, fearing the worst they started their long way there, upon arrival they discovered they were the last team to arrive, however the host informed them since Popo and Marion quitted during the race they were still in.

TARfan1 and Gretchen - 14.1
Genius and Kris - 15.6
Heather and Charla - 15.8
LittleBoy and Mary - 20.3

Clue: Fly to Paris, France. Once there, take a train to the city of Le Mans and find the Circuit Bugatti for your next clue.

NOTE: Your train must depart at least 60 minutes after your flight lands. It must be a second class ticket and must depart on January 7th, 2007 from Paris.
