Clue: Row your sampans back to your junks and travel nine miles to a beach on Soi Sim Island. This is the 9th Pit Stop in the Race around the world. The last team to check in may be eliminated.

3.03 pm
Dustin and Kandice, you are team number 1.

Rob and Amber, you are the 2nd team to arrive. However, you were marked for elimination for not arriving 1st. Thus, i cannot check you in. Please wait by the mat.

Flight #2 touched down in Xi'an 1st at 10.47 am carrying Dustin and Kandice.

Flight #1 arrived at 11.00 am carrying Billy and Carissa, Kris and Jon, John Vito and Jill and Rob and Amber.

Clue: DETOUR. Spray OR Scroll

In Spray,Teams must travel 34 miles to a car factory, don uniforms and spray the entire shell of a locally made car. Teams could have difficulty finding the factory, but, once there, painting the car required little skill, so they could finish quickly.

In Scroll, teams must travel 31 miles to a textile factory, search through 10 bolts of fabric using a light table to find two Chinese characters stamped within two of the 10 bolts, and cut out the characters to trade for their next clue. While the factory was closer, without keen eyes, searching through the fabric could take some time.
