HERE'S LEG 3...

Leg 3 Aberdeen, Scotland TO Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
   I Will Not Give Them The Maps.

Phil: Previously on The Amazing Race, 10 teams each with a pre-existing relationship set off on from Jerusalem, Israel. Teams flew to Aberdeen in Scotland. Once there, teams fled off in all directions. Injury striked Yvonne, this injury continued to haunt Glen and Yvonne as they decided to change a detour option, putting them in last place. However, bosses Daniel and Sydney incurred a penalty, as they chose to take a cab because they were lost, propelling Glen and Yvonne into 9th place. 9 teams remaining, who will be eliminated next?

Phil: This is the Castlegate, lying at the heart of Aberdeen; the Castlegate is found at the east end of Union Street and has acted as a market place since the 12th Centaury. The city's Mercat Cross, located here, is more recent, dating from the late 17th Centaury. This vibrant market place is the second pit stop in a race around the world. Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period. In this time, teams get to eat, sleep and interact with the other teams. Will girlfriends Margaret and Charlene be able to survive the next leg and come in first again? Can Glen and Yvonne get out of last place and escape the next elimination? Margaret and Charlene, who arrived in first place at 11.16p.m, will depart at 11.16a.m.

Charlene: Drive yourselves to the Letch Ski Centre.

Phil: Teams must now drive themselves to the Letch Ski Centre, where they will receive their next clue.

Margaret: Being in first place is a wonderful experience, and Charlene and I want to keep it that way.

Teams left the pit stop in the following order and time:
1. Margaret and Charlene 11.16a.m.
2. Jenna and Ethan 11.17a.m.
3. Stacy and Donny    12.00p.m.
4. Maria and Meredith 12.23p.m.
5. Monica and James 13.05p.m.
6. Paul and Morgan 13.10p.m.
7. Louis and Justina 13.54p.m.
8. Joseph and Stephanie 14.03p.m.
9. Glen and Yvonne 14.35p.m.

Jenna (11.17a.m.): Weve basically made an alliance with the girls; theyre really cool to be with. However, they are undeniably strong but I think we can beat them.

Ethan (to the girls): We follow you? Do you know where that Letch place is?
Charlene: Yah, follow us. Weve got a good map.

The Letch Ski Centre, 13.50p.m.

Charlene (1st to reach route marker): ROADBLOCK. Who loves the snow?

Phil: A roadblock is a task that only one member of the team can perform. No racer can perform more than 6 roadblocks in the entire race. In this roadblock, the team member would have to complete a competitive skiing route in the Letch Ski Centre, 2090 feet in altitude, within the competitive time of 2 minutes. Once the team member completes the route, they will be awarded their next clue.

Margaret: Oh my god, a roadblock that fast? Hmmm, I dont ski. Do you?

Charlene: No, I dont. Oh my god, were so screwed.

<<At that point in time, Jenna already started doing her roadblock. In the end, Charlene decided to perform the roadblock this time for her team. >>

Charlene: This is so tough, my god. How am I going to complete that in 2 minutes? Were dead meat.

Jenna: Wow, this is so cool!

Jennas first try: 2 mins 32 secs.

Ethan: You have to go faster! Push the snow away fast enough to propel you forward! I dont want to be stuck here!

Charlenes first try: 2 mins 12 secs.

Margaret: Hey, youre doing better then Jenna. Work harder!

<< By that time, Donny, Meredith and James were already performing the roadblock. Ironically, it was Charlene who finished first. >>

Charlene: Oh my, I did it! haha I didnt even have any experience!

Margaret: Im so proud of you!

Jennas second try: 2 mins 15 secs.

Ethan: Please dear, go for the two minutes. Be very careful at the turn!

Team members performing ROADBLOCK (in order of completion):

Margaret: Congratulations on your completion of the ROADBLOCK, youre the first team on a plane to leave for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at 8.00a.m tomorrow.

Phil: Teams are assigned airline tickets on the order they completed the roadblock. 4 teams would be on the first flight out of Aberdeen, while the remaining 5 teams would be on the second flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The second flight is scheduled to land 40 minutes before the first. Once they land in Riyadh, teams would get their next clue at the entrance of the Riyadh Zoo.

Teams on the second flight:
1. Jenna
2. Morgan
3. Justina
4. Stephanie
5. Glen

Ethan: We should have got onto the first flight, now were at the bottom of the pack.

Yvonne: Oh my god, were tied for last place now.

Aberdeen International Airport, 10.30 p.m.

Louis (talking to a airport crew): Is there any information that you can tell us about Riyadh?

Airport Crew: Ive got a map that I can give you. I think this map would be more then sufficient to get you through Saudi Arabia.

Louis: Perfect! Can I have one? Please do me a favour, dont give any of the other people any maps. Were in a race.

Airport Crew: I understand, Sir. I will not give them the maps.

Glen: Yvonne, did you see Louis over there just know? Lets go over.

Yvonne (to same airport crew): Hi, what did that man ask from you?

Airport Crew: He didnt ask anything.

Glen: So, do you guys have any map of Riyadh for me?

Airport Crew: Oh, that guy told me not to give any to you.

Glen: Darn it!

Glen (confronting Louis): Whats the problem with you? Why cant the crew give us a map too?

Louis: I didnt say anything about not giving you maps.

Glen: Stop faking (as he pushed Louiss shoulders)

Louis: Whats that for?

<<At this time, all the other sleeping teams woke up, trying to separate Glen and Louis. >>

Joseph: They would have started to fight if not for us. Louis is scheming but Glen is violent. Which is more disturbing?

Aberdeen International Airport, 0800hrs

Margaret: Were boarding the plane now. Being in the front of the pack feels good.

<<Teams are now on their way to Riyadh. >>

King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
First flight arrives early, touched down at 1600hrs, while second flight gets delayed, arriving at 1700hrs.

<<Another mad rush for cabs. However, Monica and James found themselves in a position no one wanted to be in. >>

Monica: All of us on the first flight checked our luggage in, as rules didnt allow any forms of bags on the plane. Weve been waiting for 20 minutes but there is still no sign of my bag, James bag is already out.

1630hrs (Lost Luggage Centre)
James: Weve checked our luggage in, but half an hour has gone by but we havent got one bag yet.

Airport Crew: Oh. Is this bag yours? Someone took it by mistake, and just returned it here.

Monica: Thanks God. Thats my bag. Lets go before the second flight touches down!

Riyadh Zoo
Stacy: While one member of the team feeds a crocodile with meat using a pole, another team member must take a photo.

Phil: Teams must now feed a crocodile with meat and take a photograph. After which, they would have to make their way to Riyadh Shopping Centre on foot and find this shop. Develop their photograph to get their next clue.

<<As Monica and James arrive at the Zoo, the second flight lands. >>

Yvonne: Lets go! If I ever see the Yield, Louis is going to get it.

<<By the time the teams on the second flight get to the Zoo, Stacy and Donny, Margaret and Charlene and Joseph and Stephanie have already completed the task and are on their way to the shopping centre. >>

Teams arrive at Zoo and completed task in following order:

2. Margaret and Charlene
3. Joseph and Stephanie
4. Monica and James
5. Glen and Yvonne
6. Jenna and Ethan
7. Louis and Justina
8. Paul and Morgan
9. Maria and Meredith

Photograph Developing Shop, Riyadh Shopping Centre
Donny: Make your way to the Riyadh Train Station and take a train to Dammam, approximately 350 miles away from Riyadh. CAUTION: YIELD AHEAD.

Phil: Teams have to travel approximately 350 miles to Dammam, a state in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. Once there, teams will have to drive themselves to the King Fahd Park, where they will find their next clue.

Train 1: Stacy and Donny, Margaret and Charlene, Joseph and Stephanie.
Train 2: Monica and James, Glen and Yvonne, Jenna and Ethan, Paul and Morgan, Louis and Justina
Train 3: Maria and Meredith

**Trains arrive at Dammam at an interval of 30 minutes.

Dammam Train Station, 2000hrs
Stacy: Quick, choose a car, we have to drive to King Fahd Park.

<<By the time the second train arrive, the teams on train 1 have already reached the park. >>

Donny: Oh, theres a YIELD.

Phil: This is the first of three YIELDS in the race. The YIELD is an option for a team to stop another team from racing for a predetermined amount of time. Once a team is yielded, they would have to turn the hourglass around, wait for the sand to run out before they can continue racing, even if other teams passes them. However, teams would only have that YIELD power once in the entire race, so theyll have to decide when its most advantageous to go for it.

Donny: We decide not to yield anyone.

Stacy: DETOUR. Busk or Rust

Phil: A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. In this detour, teams get to choose from Busk or Rust. In Busk, teams would have to do charity busking in the middle of the Park. They can dance or sing and raise money from the public. Once they collect 50SAR, they will be handed their next clue. In Rust, teams would have to drive themselves to this furniture shop. Using sandpaper, they would have to get rid of the rust covered cupboard to receive their next clue.

Stacy: Well Busk.

<<As the teams on the second train arrive, there was another mad rush of cabs. >>

Glen: Ive got to yield them, so annoying.

Louis: Weve to step on that YIELD mat before Glen does, or were gone.

<<In the end, Glen and Yvonne arrived a minute before Louis and Justina. >>

Glen (at the YIELD mat): For that selfishness, weve decided to yield Louis and Justina.

Louis: Quick run! Holy shit, were yielded. Damn it.

<<As Louis and Justina stand on the YIELD mat, all the teams on the second train pass them. >>

Louis: Well be gone if Maria and Meredith appears now.

The time for the hourglass ends just as Maria and Meredith reach King Fahd Park.

Maria: Weve to hurry. Were busking.

Phil: Teams must now drive themselves to the next pitstop, this port is the main gateway through which cargoes from all over the world enter the Eastern and Central Provinces of Saudi Arabia. The last team to check in may be eliminated.

Stacy: Lets go! Its a pitstop.

King Abdul Aziz Port, Dammam

Phil: Stacy and Donny, youre the first team to arrive.

Stacy: Yes, finally first!

Phil: Im sorry, I dont have any prizes to give out this week.

Donny: It doesnt matter, being in first place is enough as a prize.

Phil: Margaret and Charlene, team number two.

Phil: Joseph and Stephanie, team number three.

Phil: Glen and Yvonne, team number four. Hows the yield?

Glen: Louis was so selfish in the airport that I couldnt not yield him. He was the extreme.

Phil: Jenna and Ethan, team number five.

Phil: Paul and Morgan, you are team number six.

Phil: Monica and James, you are team number seven.

DETOUR Venues
<<As both teams tried to collect enough money, they both collected 50SAR dollars at the same time. >>

Maria: Its gonna be a footrace, well beat them.

Justina: Theres no way were going to outrun the two girls. Please drive faster.

King Abdul Aziz Port, Dammam
<<As both teams reached the pitstop simultaneously, a mad footrace began. But, the older couple simply couldnt pick up the pace of the two young girls. >>

Phil: Maria and Meredith, you are team number eight.

Maria: Oh my god, that was close!

Phil: Cmon in, Louis and Justina.

Phil: Louis and Justina, you are the last team to arrive. Im sorry to tell you that you have both been eliminated from the race.

Louis: I think I ran the race well, but I do admit I was a bit too overboard at the airport. Guess this race dont like selfish people. Haha

Justina: It has really been so amazing; being able to travel around so many countries with my darling was a perfect second honeymoon. However much I wished it could be longer, its over for us.

Next on Ben's Amazing Race (BAR)

The first time a Fast Forward emerges, three teams fight for it. Who will get it?
As teams are faced with a demanding roadblock, one racer breaks down. However after the completion of the roadblock, her spirits lit up immediately. Why?
