Part One: The Flights

 
Teams learn that they must fly to Santiago, Chile.  Many teams speed their way through New York, while others get lost.

 
Taylor: Oh my gosh!  It’s Times Square!
Kellie: I know! Isn’t that awesome?!
Taylor: …no.  It means we’re going the wrong way.
 
Melody: Let’s follow Kellie and Taylor!  They seem to know where they’re going.
 
Chase: The twin barbies look smart, let’s follow them.
 
April: Should we follow the others?
May: No, they’re all going the wrong way.  
 
At the airport, tension between April , May, Bethany, Daniella and Song and Sun occurs.

 
Song: We’re just boarding the charter bus that takes us to the terminal.
Sun: Look!   The surfers and the sisters are coming!
Song: *goes to bus driver* Please sir, drive away.  Please!
Bus Driver: It’s not supposed to leave for another 4 minutes, though.
Sun: They are bad people.  Horrible people.  Leave them behind.
Bus Driver: Sorry, no can do. *opens the door for Bethany, Daniella, April and May*
Sun: Damn.
Daniella: Excuse me, but what did we ever do to you?
Song: Bus driver!  They’re trying to hurt us!  Kick them off the bus!
April: Quit being so immature.
Song: At least I’m not white trash.
May: Do NOT talk to my sister like that.
 
Sun: *in confessional* We are kind-hearted to eachother.  The other teams don’t matter to us.
Song: Exactly.
 
The teams who get on the first flight include: Song and Sun, April and May, Bethany and Daniella, Don and Derek and Michael and Sydney.  The teams who get on the second flight include: Kellie and Taylor, David and Davie and Robby and Chrissie.  The teams on the last flight include: Rosalia and Demi, Melody and Harmony, Chase and Luiz, and Leslie and Luke.
 
Sydney: Our flight is supposed to land in Santiago at 9:02 PM.  We’ll be a half an hour ahead.
Kellie: Oh my goodness!  Like, YAY!  Our flight, like, lands at 9:30!  Like, YAY!
Melody: Our flight lands at 10:24.  We’ll be bringing up the back pack, which we need to get out of.  I just hope Harmony and I will be able to survive, the teams with us seem smart.
Robby: YES!  We’re on the second flight.
Chrissie: Whatever.  I’m not running until I get my flat iron.

Part Two: Route Info 1

 
Once teams land, they learn that they must travel in private cars to Parque Metropolitano and go to the city overlook where they must use binoculars to search for their next clue.  The flights all land as expected and the teams get to the park without getting lost.  Searching for the clue is what got most teams.

 
Don: I see it.  Over there.
Derek: No, Don, that’s a skate park.  Our clue is over there.
Bethany: Oh!  There it is!  Look, Daniella!
Daniella: That’s the Mall Plaza Oeste.  Let’s hurry up, I think we’re second.
Song: Wait.  Where are you guys going?  Can you tell us where it is?
Bethany: Hmmm…No.  But we can tell April, May, Michael and Sydney
Song: No fair!  What did we ever do to you?!
Sun: There it is!  Let’s go, we can catch up still
 
*The teams from the second flight arrive.*

 
Davie: Over…there…I see it…
Kellie: OH MY GOD!  THE MALL!  I SEE IT!
Chrissie: OH MY!  THE MALL!  I CAN GET A NEW FLAT IRON!
 
*The teams from the third flight arrive.*

 
Rosalia: Being Spanish is a huge advantage.  We can find out from locals where to go easily.
Demi: We’re here!  And there’s our clue!
Rosalia: We’re probably a couple minutes ahead of the others.  Let’s go, honey!
 
Melody: There’s the mom and her daughter!  Come on, let’s catch up.
Luiz: I see it, baby.  Let’s go!
Leslie: LUKE!  I CAN’T FIND IT!
Luke: I’ll pay you.
Leslie: Found it.
Harmony: Finally.  There it is!
 
Teams arrive at the Mall Plaza Oeste at the following times:

 
Don and Derek – 9:48 PM
Bethany and Daniella – 9:51 PM
Michael and Sydney – 9: 53 PM
April and May – 9:53 PM
Song and Sun – 10:02 PM

Part 3: Detour
 
Teams enter the mall and find a detour: Shop Till You Drop or Drop to the Floor.  In Shop Till You Drop, teams must find various shops and pick up parts of their clue.  Once all the parts are put together, they will receive their next clue.  In Drop to the Floor, teams must clean a portion of the food court, where the custodian will give them their next clue upon completion, when they will learn that they must go to Torres del Paine National Park.

 
Don: Which one?
Derek: Let’s clean.
Don: Okay…
Bethany: Let’s shop!  
Daniella: Shop! Shop! Shop! Shop!
Sydney: I think we should do the Shopping.  It seems easier.
May: How about shopping?
Song: Let’s shop.
 
Don and Derek get rejected over and over by the custodian.  Song and Sun locate and purchase their items quickly and manage to leave the mall in first.  Bethany and Daniella and May and April team up together while doing shop.  Michael and Sydney get lost in the large mall.

 
Davie: Let’s…clean…no…let’s shop…hmmm…let’s…uhhh…I don’t know.
 
In the end, David and Davie choose to clean, but only after Kellie and pass them

 
Kellie: Let’s shop.
Kellie and Taylor complete the detour.  David and Davie leave the mall at the same time as Rosalia and Demi arrive.

 
Rosalia: Should we clean?  
Demi: Sounds good?
 
Rosalia and Demi get rejected by the custodian multiple times.  In the end, they switch to shop, costing them a lot of time.

 
Chrissie: Oh my SHEEP!  We HAVE to shop!  I can get a new flat iron!
Luiz: We were born to shop according to my bumper sticker.  Let’s go.
Harmony: Let’s clean the floor.
Leslie: I am not cleaning the floor.
Luke: I’ll pay you.
Leslie: Okay.
 
In one of the shops, Chrissie finds a flat iron and refuses to move unless Robby buys it for her.  He refuses, and the two of them bicker for a while.

 
Teams leave the mall in this order:

April and May – 10:10 PM

Teams arrive the Torres del Paine National Park and find their cluebox sitting in front of them, beside the moonlighted lake.  Several teams struggle on their way to the park, whether it be through fighting or getting lost.
 
Song: Don’t blow our lead, Sun.  We need to beat the weaker teams.
Sun: *sighs* Yes, sir..
Song: We have to beat the girls.  It would be humiliating to lose to girls
Sun: Excuse me, but why would that be so humiliating?  Girls are strong too.
Song: *sneers* Just shut up and drive.
 
Bethany: We are so lost.
Daniella: Maybe we should turn around?
Bethany: *reluctantly agrees*
 
April: Where are Bethany and Daniella going?
May: We need to stop them!
April: It’s too late, they’ve already passed us.
 
Sydney: Oh!  That’s Bethany and Daniella!  They’re going backward!
Michael: We need to stop them!
Sydney: *shouts out window* The park is that way!
Michael: We’re racing to win, but who says we can’t be nice doing so.
 
Bethany: Sydney and Michael are really sweet.  I hope we can go as far as possible with them.
Daniella: If it weren’t for them, we might have been driving backwards for hours.
 
Don: Drive faster, Derek!  Beat the slowpokes!
Derek: WHEEEEEWWHOOOO!  90 miles per hour in a 50 miles per hour street!
Don: There goes the surfer babes.
Derek: There goes the dates.
 
Kellie: Santiago is just so beautiful.  It’s always been my dream to travel to Costa Rica and It’s finally happening!
Taylor: Kellie…we are in Chile.
Kellie: Same thing.
Taylor: Note to self, do not trust Kellie with maps.
 
Chase: Luiz, where are we going?
Luiz: I think we’re in downtown Santiago.
Chase: …TURN AROUND FAST!
 
Luke: Leslie, can you drive any faster?  You’re only going 20 miles per hour.
Leslie: Here’s my hourly wage: 10 additional dollars per every extra mile per hour.
Luke: Hourly wage?
 
David: Nice, Davie!  We’re going 10 miles per hour!
Davie: New…High…Score…
 
Chase: Finally.  Out of there.
Luiz: Darn.  We dropped 2 spaces.
Chase: As long as we’re not last, its fine.
 
Harmony: Nice job, Mel, you’re doing great.
Melody: Thanks, Harmy
 
Rosalia: Take a left up here, Demi.
Demi: But the twins just took a right?
Rosalia: It’s a shortcut.
 
Chrissie: Thank you for my new flat iron, Robby.
Robby: *mutters*
Chrissie: What was that you said?
Robby: I said that you’re a stuck up snob.
Chrissie: Do NOT talk to me like that!
Robby: Just be quiet.  I don’t see you doing anything useless for us.
 
Demi: We are so lost.  We should have taken a right like the twins.
Rosalia: I’m so sorry, Dem.  Turn around and we’ll run as fast as possible when we get there.
Demi: It’s alright, mum.  We can catch up.

Part Five: Roadblock
 
Upon reaching the lake, teams open their next clue and find a roadblock.  One team member must load their teammate into a traditional Chilean carriage, and transport them one and a half miles from the pitstop. The pitstop is at La Concha Island, which is an island on the opposite side of the lake of the national park.  Teams must take a trail to get to the island.  There is a carriage drop off point, where teams may get out of their carriage and make their way on foot to the pitstop.

 
Song: I’ll do it.
Sun: Fine with me.
 
April: May, you can do it, you’re the stronger one.
May: Okay, I’ll do it.
 
Derek: You do it.
Don: Dude, it would be so much easier with my skateboard.
 
Michael: I’ll do it.
Sydney: Alright!  This will be fun!
 
Daniella: Can I do it?
Bethany: …no problem with me.
 
Kellie: I’ll do it!
Taylor: No, thanks.  I’ll do it.
Kellie: Why not me?
Taylor: I don’t feel comfortable with you carrying me.
Kellie: *giggles*
 
David: I…can…do…it.
 
Luke: My endless love for you will help me life your body.
Leslie: How sweet…by the way, you forgot to pay me.
 
Luiz: I can do it, amigo!
 
Harmony: Please!  Can I do it, please?
Melody: Okay, let’s go fast!
 
Chrissie: You do it.  I’ll break a nail.
Robby: Alright, but if I do it, you might “accidently” break your neck.
 
Rosalia: I’ll do it.  Quick, Demi, get in.  
Demi: We need to catch up, Mommy!
 
The teammates manage to effectively transport their partners.  Only one team, Don and Derek, gets lost.  But even they recover quickly.
 
Derek: Dude.
Don: Dude.
Derek: I told you we should have brought our skateboards
Don: Dude.
Derek: Dude.
Don: Dude, Michael and Sydney and Bethany and Daniella are passing us.
Derek: *sighs* Dude…
 
The teams all park their carriages and make their way to the pitstop; La Concha Island.

Part Six: The Pitstop
 
This is the first pitstop in a race around the world.  Teams all get off of their bikes and prepare to run a course just under two miles long.
 
Song: Sun!  Run faster!  We have to get there first!
Sun: Yes, Song.
Song: Sun!  RUN FASTER!
 
April: May, let’s go!
May: Ape, we’re faster than the siblings.  We can beat them!
April: Run your heart out!
 
Michael: Baby, we can beat them.  Let’s go.
Sydney: Alright, baby.
 
Bethany: We can bump ourselves up a couple places!
Daniella: We’re strong.  Let’s kick some butt.
 
Sydney: Baby, Daniella and Bethany are passing us.
Michael: Run until you can’t run anymore, baby!
 
Don: Derek, let’s go.
Derek: Dude.  We could skate here.
Don: Dude.
 
Kellie: Oh my goodness!  Taylor!  The pitstop!  Let’s go!

Chase: Baby, we have to run as fast as possible.
Luiz: We can so beat the grandpas.
 
Melody: Harm, we’re getting close!
Harmony: Don’t let ANYBODY catch us.
Melody: We’ve got this.
 
Chrissie: Robby, I’m tired.
Robby: We’ve been running for five minutes!
Chrissie: SLOW DOWN!  I’m almost about to collapse.
Robby: Come on, you can do it.
Chrissie: Robby?!  What kind of horrible brother are you?!  Slow down!
 
Rosalia: Chrissie and Robby are right up there!  Demi, we can catch them!
Demi: Come on, mommy, let’s run faster than ever!
Rosalia: Run like your life depends on it!
 
Robby: Chrissie!  Rosalia and Demi are catching us!
Chrissie: Fine.  I can run a little bit more, I guess.
 
Song and Sun, you are team number 1!
Song: Thank goodness!  I was so afraid that her being weak would slow us down.
