Does post count really matter for anything? One of the reasons I don't post at sucks much is because they get all bent out of shape when a "newbie" has something to say. I personally couldn't care less what someones post count is.

Same here, but I will admit last summer when a person who is no longer with us boasted about how he was posting in the grapevine games a lot to get his coount past mine, I raced to beat him, and did!  I am competitive!  ...or was!
As for as count mattering, it doesn't!
