CREATE YOUR OWN AMAZING RACE 2

As the first season is close to complete, I've decided to continue with a second season.

In this game, you create the entire race. I will provide a series of instructions, that will allow for the basis of each leg, but besides that its up to you.

Before we start the race, we need to create the 12 teams. It is up to you who the teams are, their ages, their pre-race relationships, etc.

For each team, I need you to create their names, ages (must be 18 or older), hometown and country (does not have to be in the United States), occupations, and relationship to each other. List the team below in the following format:

Name1 (Age, Hometown, Occupation) and Name2 (Age, Hometown, Occupation) - Relationship

Please only create one team. If there isn't enough interest, then I will allow you to create another.

Below is the sign-up for the legs of the race. Whatever leg you sign-up for is the one you will be writing, based on the guidelines I give you. I will post the guidelines for the next leg once the previous leg has been completed.

Please sign up for only one leg. Again, if the interest is low, I will allow you sign up for another.

NOTE: If you wrote a leg in season 1, please choose a different leg for this season. For example, if you wrote a early leg, please choose one that is later in the race and vice versa. I don't want the same people writing the final leg, or the first leg for that matter. Thanks.

Below are some instructions that should help you write the race.

Required:
1. Complete explanations of all tasks, which the route info's, detour (each choice), roadblock (with the preceding question) fast forwards, intersections, and speed bumps. There really isn't that much to explain about the yield.
2. Minimal Dialogue between the teams (don't go overboard with it).
3. An short exit interview between the team that is either eliminated, or finishes last on a non-elimination leg.

Optional, but would be nice:
1. Pictures of the locations that are part of the race. You should be able to find almost every location by using a google image search or any other search engine.

If I think of anything else, I will add it to the list above. Also, for people who haven't written a leg before, I usually use wikipedia.com, wikitravel.com, tripadvisor.com, and travel.yahoo.com. Sam recommended google earth as another good resource. These are good sites to find specific attractions/locations within each city/country. If anyone else has any other sites that are good, please post them.

As of now, you can only sign up for one leg to write. So, if you want to do the final, then you have to take your name off Leg 11 and switch it to the final.

You control everything. I will just give you some guidelines, like the country of where the leg takes place, what type of clues occur (like detour, roadblock, fast forward, etc). I suggest you read through Season 1 to get a good idea of what is expected.

Phil: Im standing in the roof of the Old Post Office Building in Washington D.C. In this city, 12 teams of 2 will embark in a race around the world for 1,000,000 dollars. Teams are now being transported to the Starting Line, the RFK Stadium. The twelve teams are:
Gary (62) and Patrice , 58, Retired and nurse from Los Angeles, California.
Gary: We are very competitive and we thought that this Race may be a good chance for us to remember each other when death comes.
Patrice: Although it wont come until 20 years from now, at least. Were runners, and were fit!
Both laugh.

Susie (42) and Janice(40), Moms from Singapore.
Janice: We just came in the Race so as to show our teen sons about our courage, to tell them we can do whatever we want to do.
Susie: Yes, and we will show them a big amount of notes, adding 1,000,000$.

Rain (29) and Snow (27), Cousins from Hong Kong.
Snow: We are cousins but we dont see each other more than once a year.
Rain: And since we were children, we got on each other really well.
Snow: We hope we can carry on being cousins and friends.

Mary (54) and Shelley (27), Mother and daughter from the Philippines.
Mary: Since she left New York for job reasons to California, we hardly ever see her.
Shelley: And we think that the Race can put us together another time.

Carlos (27) and Julie (26), Dating long distance from Miami and Berlin.
Carlos: I first met Julie when she came to Miami on holidays and had a trouble.
Julie: I was innocent of everything, but I went to the courts.
Carlos: I was his lawyer, and we won.
Julie: I hope to win this too, with the best lawyer of the US.

Julia (42) and Johnny (31), Shop assistant and boss of the shop and friends, from London.
Julia: We work in the same shop, but Im working for him.
Johnny: I never minded the age in a relationship, and we gave a chance to our love, without success.
Julia: We thought that living together for 4 weeks around the world, maybe we know if we can give each other another chance.

Peter (42) and Linda (22), Teacher and old student from Seattle.
Linda: Once I finished my school years, I found a friend in Peter. And I wouldnt have liked to forget him. He had helped me for 3 years, and I thought he had been a very important person in my academic life and in my future.
Peter: Well, I wanted to help everybody. When she started to ask me for advice and these things, I thought she would have problems. I helped her, and she wanted to keep in touch with me, so here we are!

Lauren (21) and Amy (21), Friends and models, from Los Angeles.
Lauren: Were models, were beautiful, and we wont think twice about using our bodies as a help for us.
Amy: And were not those stupid blonde girls Were blonde, but not stupid!

Mike (21) and John (20), Internet* boyfriends from California.
Mike: We started going out three days after getting to know each other, and were still on, three years later.
John: Were not the typical team that is used to doing lots of mistakes, or trying to hurt other teams. Well just do our best to win our way.

Andy , 68, and Mandy (20), Grandfather and granddaughter, from Singapore.
Andy: I am retired, but was a University Teacher, who used to travel very much. I can speak some languages, and hope it will work throughout the race.
Mandy: Im now studying what he studied, history, and we hope there are some tasks including history details.
Andy: Well make history!

Prada (24) and Rachel (22). Sisters from Miami.
Prada: Im a dance teacher.
Rachel: Im an aerobics instructor.
Prada: And we are fit and intelligent enough to win this race.
Rachel: Make sure well be on the final three.

Rex (25) and Nicole (20), Dating from London.
Rex: We first met a year ago, in London, in my restaurant.
Nicole: I ate there after a hard day at University. When I saw him, I thought that I wouldnt be single anymore.
Rex: And she isnt. We want to see if our relationship may be good after winning the race.

Phil: In just a few minutes youll be embarking in a race around the world. You already know the rules. The race is divided in 12 legs. Each leg has a pit stop. Nine of these pit stops are eliminating, so youll need to get there as fast as you can, because if youre last, youll be eliminated. The first clue is waiting inside the envelope in top of luggage you brought with. When I give you the word, you can run up to your bag, read your first clue, and what you do after that is completely up to you. Is everybody ready??
Teams clap and shout.
Phil: Good luck Travel safe GO!

Teams run to their bags and find an unusual first task.
Julia: Travel to Presidente Manuel Bulnes Avenue
Gary: In Punta Arenas, Chile!
Peter: Youre given tickets for a flight
Snow: Departing at 9.49pm with US Airways
Rex: However, you may look for tickets by the seats of the Stadium for earlier flights.
Mandy: Its first-come first-serve.
Shelley: You have 340$ for this leg of the race.
Phil: Teams have to fly more than 5.500 miles to Punta Arenas, in Los Lagos, Chile.

Once there they have to look for an athletics track. In the main entrance teams will find their next clue.

Two of these flights depart at the same time, however, the number of the flight will determine when does it land.

All teams decide to get on one of the other three flights, but four teams wont be able to find anything and will fly on the flight they have. They start searching.
Patrice: OH! Ive found a flight! Its a flight with Avianca, departing at 3.36pm. Flight #1.
Gary: Flight # 1! Were not going to look for more. Were in the first flight!!

Julia: Johnny, here theres a flight with the Avianca, departing at 3.36pm. Its flight # 3, do you want to keep this one, or do we look for another one?
Johnny: Lets keep this one.

Carlos: Ive found one! With Delta Airlines, departing at 6.35pm. Flight # 2.
Julie: OK, lets take that.

In the end, teams end in this flights:
Flight #3, with the Avianca. Departing at 3.36pm, arriving at 1.10pm.

There teams find a:

Johnny: Roadblock! Who doesnt get tired?
Phil: A Roadblock is a task that only one person may perform, and no one can complete more than 7 on the entire race. In this Roadblock, that person has to guess what a guagua is in the country, and guess how many people can get in, legally.

Then divide this number in three, and race as many laps as the resulting number. Once they are done, theyll ask a judge if it was correct. In case it was not, that person will have to start again.
Johnny: Im doing it!!

Rain: You do.

*6.29pm*
Patrice: I dont mind doing it. But youre better athlete than I am.
Gary: So, I do.

Johnny stops a guagua and he knows it has place for 48 people. That means he will have to make 16 laps. Snow and Gary also start. As Gary has run for so many years, he easily catches up with the others. He passes them. He receives the next clue when Rain starts to shout at Snow, as a 62-year-old man has been faster than she has.

*6.55pm*
Patrice: Make your way on foot to the beach and swim to a little boat.
Phil: Teams must now go on foot 0.5 miles to the beach in Punta Arenas, and sign to one of four charter flights departing tomorrow morning at 8.00pm, 9.00pm, 9.20pm and 9.40pm.

Patrice: OK! Give me your bag; I havent run for 25 minutes!

*7.02pm*
Carlos: Roadblock! Who doesnt get tired?
Julie: You do.
Carlos: Yes, Ill do.

Peter: Who doesnt get tired?
Linda: I do.

*7.05pm*
Snow: Make your way on foot to the beach.
Rain: There we go!

*7.07pm*
Julia: Swim to a little boat with the Route Marker.
Johnny: Thats it!

*7.11pm*
Rex: I can do it.
Nicole: No, Ill do.

The three contestants start running. Their mates think of doing things together so as not to be last on the very first leg. All of them agree.

*7.13pm*
Gary: Here we are. Now we just have to swim there.

*7.18pm*
Snow: Start swimming. Dont matter about the clothes!

*7.19pm*
Julia: There is another team. Lets get there with them.

*7.21pm*
Patrice: Oh! The first flight with seats for three teams, departing at 8.00pm.
Gary: And it is one hour ahead the other flights!! Lets get it!!

*7.25pm*
Snow: Flight #1!
Rain: Yay!
Julia: OK! Girls, do you want to work with us for the rest of the leg?
Snow: Yes, of course!!

*7.35pm*
Carlos: Make your way on foot to
Linda: the beach. Once there
Nicola: swim to a little boat with the Route Marker.

Carlos & Julie, Peter & Linda and Rex & Nicole, decide to get together to the beach. They swim and get the three places on the second flight.

Susie: Roadblock. I do! We choose to quit. Were not fit enough to do this.

*8.03pm*
Mandy: I think you cant run, Grandpa. Ill do.

*8.30pm*
Mandy gets her next clue and goes to the beach.

Andy and Mandy struggle at swimming, but they are glad to get on the Flight #3.

*10.08pm*
Lauren: I do. I was a basketball player, I used to run.

Prada: You do. You teach Aerobics!

Finally, they get the two spots left in the Flight #3. So the flights are:

8.00am Flight: Gary & Patrice, Julia & Johnny and Rain & Snow
9.00am Flight: Carlos & Julie, Peter & Linda and Rex & Nicola
9.20am Flight: Andy & Mandy, Prada & Rachel and Lauren & Amy
9.40am Flight: Mary & Shelley, Mike & John and Susie & Janice

Gary: Welcome to Valencia, Venezuela.
Snow: Drive to Avenida Constitución
Johnny: and get to the biggest park of this avenue.

Phil: Teams must now drive themselves 5 miles from the outskirts of Valencia to the center of the city, where theyll find this park. Once there, theyll find their next clue.

Gary: Were going all together, arent we?
Snow: Of course.

*5.35pm*
Snow: Detour: Bats or Sticks.

Phil: A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. In this Detour, teams have to choose between Bats or Sticks.

In Bats teams must go on foot 1 mile to a baseball stadium in the Avenida Michelena. Then, they have to hit 10 balls (5 each) to obtain their next clue.

In Sticks teams must get to the Local Ice Hockey Stadium by taxi, dress themselves as professional players, score 5 goals and block three shots to a sport star in the city.

Snow: Were doing Sticks.
Johnny: OK, lets go. Taxi!!

Gary: Do you want to do Bats? We may run there, and if its on foot and the other is by taxi, it may be more difficult.
Patrice: OK, lets do it! (To a runner) The Avenida Michelena?
Local runner: Im going there, we may do it together.
Gary: Great!

*5.45pm*
Snow & Rain and Julia & Johnny, arrive at the Stadium and start dressing themselves.

*5.50pm*
Gary: Now, lets teach these local players how to hit the ball.

*5.55pm*
Snow: Were starting. We wait you there.

Patrice: Oh! Just one more for you and youll be done, baby!
Gary: But you still need three more shots

*6.00pm*
Johnny: We caught up, girls!
Snow: Thats what we hoped

Patrice: Great! We did it!! Now make your way to the Town Hall.

Phil: Teams must now make their way to the Town Hall. Once there, look in the garden for one of the 20 keys hidden among the grass. Then give it to a guard and get to the room. What they may guess is that this is the end of the leg, and the last team to check-in, will be eliminated.

Gary: Once in there, youll know what to do. Whats this? The pit stop? Taxi!!

Snow: OK! We did it at the same time Wasnt it the Intersection?
Rain: So freakin jokes Make your way to the Town Hall.
Johnny: And search for one of the 20 keys.

Patrice: OK! Here we are. Were in first now, so think that there are lots of keys The last team, will have less to look for.
Gary: It wont be easy. Its all to luck!

Rex: Lets go, all together. Well try not to get eliminated We may win this race!!
Julie: All three teams to the Final three!!

*6.30pm*
Patrice: Here they are Damnit!
Gary: But they wont be first Look at this!

Gary gives the clue to the guard. He opens the door. Then closes it.

Phil: Gary and Patrice, Youre team number 1! Its the first time ever that the eldest team of the race wins a leg, and the first one!
Gary: OK! When we were on the third flight, we thought we woudnt last too muck. Thanks, traffic jams!!
Phil: Now I have some good news for you. As the winners of this leg of the race, youve won a trip for two to Paris, which you can enjoy after the Race.
Patrice: Thanks!

Rex: We choose Bats.
Julie: We also choose Bats.
Peter: Well do Bats.

Mandy to Andy in the taxi: Well, we wont be last The models have gone by taxi. We hope they get penalised.

Johnny: Thanks, Phil.
Julia: Were just worried about the Grandpas. How did they do it so good?

Rain: Well done, my cousin. Well done!

Mandy: Well do Bats.
Prada: Well also do Bats.
Lauren: What do we do?
Amy (In sign language): Sticks?
Lauren: OK!

Rex: Get to the Town Hall.
Julie: And search for a clue.
Linda: Once inside there, youll know what to do? Whats this?
Nicole: Maybe checking-in for another flight

Nicole: Well done. It was luck. We could have been last or first. It was all to luck.

Phil: You will receive a 30-minute penalty. In half an hour youll be able to check-in.

John: Finally, we did it! Get to the Town Hall!

Three teams need to check-in. The models, Lauren and Amy, are waiting until 8.37 pm to check-in. Depending on the luck teams have in finding a clue, theyll be able to go on with the race, or theyll be eliminated.

Mike and John find a key, when they see the models with Phil.

Amy: OH MY GOD! And theyre right behind us Sorry guys

Phil: Mike and John, youre the last team to arrive. Im very sorry to tell you youve both been eliminated from the race.

Mike: Weve been on the verge of catching up. We almost did it!!!
John: This three days in Chile, have made me think that we dont need as much things as we have. We have to earn some money, and get back to Chile again!
Mike: We love it!!
They finally kiss each other.

That was not my idea... Before starting the leg, I did the arrival at pitstop. I placed the teams, unknowing what would happen... And unknowing how were them. I didn't realise they would fall behind, but I thought that the others could be better.

And Rain and Snow, are they F/F?? Don't really know...

Previously on the Amazing Race...

12 teams set out on a Race around the world, for one million dollars. Their first stops: Chile & Venezuela.

Julia: Travel to Presidente Manuel Bulnes Avenue
Gary: In Punta Arenas, Chile!

Gary: Welcome to Valencia, Venezuela.

At the Detour, teams got to show their sporty side..

Snow: Were starting. We wait you there.

Gary & Patrice started the Race well

Phil: You're team number one!!!

and even though Lauren & Amy suffered a 30-minute penalty, boyfriends Mike & John were the first to go.

Phil: I'm sorry to tell you that you've been eliminated from the Race.

Eleven teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

*opening credits*

Phil: This is the city of Valencia. About 180 miles away from Caracas, the countrys third largest city boasts of a rapidly-industrializing environment. And located downtown, Town Hall. This public landmark is the 1st Pitstop in a race around the world.

Teams arrived at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period. Will Gary & Patrice continue to dominate and stay ahead? And can Lauren & Amy avoid making too many mistakes to get out of last place?

Gary & Patrice who were the first to arrive at 6:31 pm, will depart at 6:31 am.

Phil: Using a series of given clue, teams must now figure out that they need to fly from Caracas to the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. Once there, they must drive themselves to the Torre Antel Torre de las Telecomunicaciones, where they must search the top deck for their next clue.

Patrice: You have 40 dollars for this leg of the race.
Gary: Lets go.

*other teams leave the Pitstop*

Susie: Janice, do you know where the way to this place is?
Janice: No. Sorry. Wanna go wait for Mary & Shelley?
Susie: Ya, they have a map.

Janice: Hey girls. Can we follow you?
Mary: Go ahead. Lauren & Amy are behind us as well, though.
Janice: (to Susie) Lets go.

Ann (conf.): We made an alliance with the mom & daughter during the Pitstop. And right now, I think the moms will align with us too.

Shelley (conf.): Im not sure about three teams in an alliance, but as of now, it could help us a lot.

On the way to the airport, Carlos & Julie, Peter & Linda, Andy & Mandy and Prada & Rachel got lost, allowing the others to get ahead.

At the airport:
Ticket Agent: We have a flight arriving at 11:50 am.

Rain: Is that the earliest?
Ticket Agent: Yes.
Johnny: Nothing else? On other airlines?
Ticket Agent: Ive checked. Nothing else, sir.

Gary & Patrice, Julia & Johnny, Rain & Snow and Rex & Nicole purchase seats on the flight. Soon, everyone purchases tickets on this flight.

Shelley (conf.): So Lauren & I go and decide to buy food since were hungry.
Shelley: Mom, Ill just go buy food.
Mary: Okay.
Shelley (conf.): While lining up, we met this guy who was going to Montevideo too. Apparently, he was on a flight arriving an hour earlier.

Amy (conf.): So then we decided to sneak away from the teams and purchased tickets for ourselves, the mom/daughter and Sue and Janice.

Janice: It was SUCH a great thing following them. =))

Rain: We saw Susie & Janice looking excited, so we were like, They mustve found something better.
Gary: All of a sudden, the boys were like, running away. So we decided to follow them. There we discovered that there was an earlier flight.

Ticket Agent: Im sorry, but the flight is closed.
Teams: Please, we have to get on this flight.
Ticket Agent: Let me see
*commercial break*
Teams: We just have to get on this flight. Like, seriously.
Ticket Agent: I only have seats available for one team

Sirs Rain & Snow, we can check you in.
Snow: THANK YOU!!!!
Patrice: So theres no more left?
Ticket Agent: *checks computer* Im sorry. Plane is closed.
Gary: Great. Looks like well have to settle with the rest.

Patrice: This is why I wanted to be on Flight 1. *catches breath*

*teams are shown arriving at the observation deck*

Rain & Snow: Route Info: Search for your next clue from the deck.

Phil: Teams must now choose a pair of binoculars and using that, spot a balloon with yellow and red stripes hanging above the Salvo Palace. Once they spot it, they must drive to the area to retrieve the clue hanging from a rope attached below.

Amy: Laur, its here.
Shelley: Theres the clue box.
Janice: Fast Forward!!!

Phil: Hidden on this leg of the Race is a Fast Forward. The first team that finds it & completes it can skip all tasks and go directly to the Pitstop.

In this Fast Forward, that team must pick up a 20-pound slab of meat hanging on the decks door. They must then deliver the meat to a meat shop over 10 miles away. Once the meat is delivered, they can receive the Fast Forward award.

Phil: A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros & cons. In this Detour, teams will have to choose between Get It In or Let It Out.

Get It In: In Get It In, teams must make their way to the Punta Carretas. Once there, teams must play a game of golf. For each hole they shoot, they get one Uruguayan peso. To get their next clue, teams must purchase it from a local golfer stationed near Hole 18 wearing a yellow-and-red fedora for fifteen Uruguayuan pesos.

Let It Out: In Let It Out, teams must make their way to the Solis Theatre. Once there, they must practice and successfully act out a scene from a theatrical version of No Man's Land, written by Uruguayan author Juan Carlos Onetti to receive their next clue.

Lauren: Theres the Palace. Lets go inside.
Amy: Are you sure its there?
Lauren: Yes, lets go.

*Lauren & Amy spend an hour looking in the Palace, then they eventually find out that theyve done it wrong*

Phil: Teams must now sign up on a bus to Punta del Este, each leaving an hour apart. Once there, they must take a taxi to the Punta del Este Lighthouse.

Shelley: Caution: U-Turn Ahead.
Mary: Oh sh*t!!!

Phil: This is the first U-Turn on the entire Race. At this specific spot, one team can U-Turn another team, that is, the team must perform the other side of the Detour they chose to not complete before they can move on.

Mary: We have to hurry up!!!

Rain: *to golf pro* Thank you.
Snow: U-Turn ahead. Lets go.

Phil: Having won the Fast Forward, Susie & Janice can now skip all tasks & make their way to the next Pitstop, Casa Pueblo. This landmark built by Carlos Páez Vilaró, universally considered as a living sculpture is the second Pitstop of the Race. Warning: The last team to check in may be eliminated.

Susie: Says here were signing up for a bus to Punta del Este.
Janice: Were going to be snubbed for the rest of the leg.

It seems like a lot of people are having that problem. There are certain words that this forum doesn't like, such as swear words, etc. If you can't figure out what words are making it spam, send it to Rhune and maybe she can figure it out.

Susie: The statue of liberty!
Janice: Okay, lets go buy tickets to New York!

*Mary and Shelley open their clue soon after Janice and Susie*

Mary: Lets go to an internet café to use a computer.
Shelley: Ugh, but mom, we so do not have like the time!

Mary: Its Namibia.
Shelley: Hurry up! We only have like an hour ahead of the other teams! UGH!
Mary: *slaps Shelley* Stop whining.

*The next several teams to depart all have mixed opinions about their first clue. Rain and Snow know that it is Namibia immediately. Lauren and Amy, like Mary and Shelley, visit an internet café to find the answer. Gary and Patrice, Peter and Linda, Rex and Nicole, Carlos and Julie, and Andy and Mandy try to figure out the clue together, but struggle when the realize that there is no way that all ten of them will fit inside of one taxi.*

Mandy: Maybe if youuhhouch. Move your arm, Gary.
Gary: Huh? Im out here.
Rex: Yeah, thats me.
Peter: Rex, youre sitting on my leg.
Carlos: Ahhhhhhh
Patrice: *starts to sob frantically* Its like a giant :censored:

game of Twister.

*Susie and Janice book tickets on a flight to New York City with a connection in Miami. Shelley and Mary and Rain and Snow book tickets on a direct flight to Namibia the following morning.*

Mary: Are you sure this is the earliest flight?
Attendant: Si, Chica.
Mary: No speak-o Spanish-o.
Shelley: They speak Portuguese, Mom.
Mary: Stop complaining.

Susie: Im so excited that we are going to New York!

Rain: Did they just say New York?
Snow: Hah. Leave it to them to completely mess up.

*Eventually, all of the other teams arrive at the airport and discover that there is no more room on the soonest flight to Namibia, which Mary and Shelley and Rain and Snow have booked. The next available flight to Namibia leaves in 23 days.*

Andy: Youre kidding right?
Attendant: No.
Mandy: Please? Can you change the size of the plane so that you can fit us on it?
Attendant: We dont have any planes large enough to leave at the moment.
Shelley: UGH! Can you, like, make another plane?!
Attendant: Sure!

Mandy: Hey, Janice, you guys owe us. We got them to make a bigger plane so that we could all fit on a plane to Namibia.
Janice: Were going to New York, though. Why would you want to go to Africa?
Mandy: were going to Namibia.
Janice: Right. We knew that *nervous laughter, she whispers to Susie* quickget on that plane to Namibia.

*All of the teams, including Julia and Johnny who arrived about an hour after all of the other teams, decide to spend the night at the airport and wait for their flight. All of the teams got onto the same flight to Windhoek, Namibia the following morning.*

Johnny: I feel bad for U-Turning Prada and Rachel, but it was what we had to do.
Julia: Yeah. They would have done it too. But n-nowI feel like wereb-beinghaunted.
*Whisper of Prada*: You will pay, Johnny and Julia.
Julia: Oh my god, what was that?
*Whisper of Rachel*: Karma will get you
Julia: Oh my

*The next morning, all of the teams get onto the same flight arriving in Namibia at 2:10 PM. Onboard the plane, some contestants rest, while others prevent others from resting*

Snow: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Carlos: *wakes up suddenly* What was that?!

Snow: *in confessional* the more tired the other teams are, the more we can sabotage them. It makes perfect sense!

*Teams arrive in Windhoek and find their next clue sitting on the dashboard of the cars they are instructed to drive.*

Carlos: Julie! Were the first out of the airport! Read the clue!
Julie: Travel to the sand dune.
Carlos: Huh? Which one?
Julie: Hah. Just kidding.

Amy: *Signing to Lauren* Make your way to Post Street Mall.
Lauren: I can read your lips. Theres no need for sign language.

Julia: Once there, find the arts stand and ask the shop keeper for your next clue!
*Whisper of Prada*: You will pay.

*All of the teams drive to Post Street Mall to find their next clue. Along the way, many teams struggle to find where they are going.

Patrice: What is the address of Post Street Mall?!

Johnny: It couldnt be on Post Street. That would be too easy.
*Whisper of Rachel*: Revenge

*One by one, the teams begin to arrive at Post Street Mall*

Amy: Wheres the art stall?!

Julie: I think its over there!

Lauren: Excuse me, may we have our clue?

Julie: Clue, please?
Carlos: Dont say please. Take it from him. *Carlos tackles the man behind the counter and rips the clue from his hands*
Carlos: *pants* Ddetdetour.

A detour is a choice between two tasks; each with its own pros and cons. In this detour, teams must choose between Dine or Dash.

In Dine, teams must make their way to a King Pie store. There are four of them throughout Windhoek. Teams must find the correct King Pie, and then eat one whole meat pie. Once they do so, they will be given their next clue. However, if they eat a meat pie at the wrong store, they must continue onto the next King Pie.

In Dash, teams must make their way on foot to the field across from Post Street Mall. Once there, each of them must successfully beat an eight year old Namibian boy in a hundred meter dash. If they fail, they must run back to the start, wait 10 minutes, and try again until they succeed.

Amy: Do I look like a fast runner?
Lauren: No, you look like a model.
Amy: Whats that supposed to mean?

Julie: Carlos, lets do Dash. Youre fast.
Carlos: Yeah, but youre not, right?
Julie: Thats mean.
Carlos: Well, your online dating profile says that you dislike running.
Julie: Oh rightbut lets try it anyway!

Rex: Lets dine!
Nicole: But Rex, youre pallet is way too developed as a British Chef.
Rex: So?
Nicole: So youll rag on these poor Namibians for not having good meat pies.

Mandy: Dash.
Andy: No way in :censored:

Mandy: Oh right, youre like eighty.

Gary: I cant believe that the Post Street Mall is on Post Street!
Patrice: I guess old people arent always smart.

*Amy and Lauren, Rex and Nicole, Mandy and Andy, Susie and Janice, Rain and Snow, Mary and Shelley, and Gary and Patrice all plan to do Dine. All are rather even except for Gary and Patrice, who are about an hour behind all of the other teams. Amy and Lauren and Rex and Nicole are all heading to the second King Pie on the map while the other teams are all headed to the first one. Carlos and Julie, Peter and Linda, and Julia and Johnny all decide to try Dash*

Carlos: Ill try first. Look at this kid, I could beat him easily.
2 minutes later
Carlos: He barely beat me. We were so close.
Julie: How close?
Carlos: He beat me by 11 seconds.
Julie: ON THE HUNDRED METER DASH?
Carlos: Lets see you do better if youre just so fast.
2 minutes later
Julie: I won. Now you try again in ten minutes.

Linda: Professor Peter, y-you can d-do this.
Peter: DONT CALL ME BY MY FIRST NAME, YOU DISPRESEPCTFUL LITTLE GIRL.
Linda: IM SORRY.

Mandy: Were the first ones here! Come on, lets eat.
Andy: This looks nasty.
Mandy: Well, it is Africa.
Andy: Seethis is the problem with your generation. Always jump to conclusions and *gulps down last bite* make stereotypes. Clue?
Shopkeeper: No.
Mandy: Great. Lets head to the next one. Oh wait! Here come some teams. Quick, give me our last clue when we walk out the next door.

Janice: Look, Susie, theres puke all over the floor.
Susie: Look, Janice, Mandy and Andy had their next clue! This is the right King Pie! *jumps up and down happily*
Snow: Were at the right one!
Shelley: This is awesome!
Rain: Come on, lets dine!

Julie: Did you beat him?
Carlos: No.
Julie: Ugh, please hurry up.
Carlos: Lets see you try this.
Julie: I already have, you moron.

Linda: Professor*nervously* d-did you b-beat the kid?
Peter: YES. NOW YOU GO RIGHT NOW.

Julia: Did you finish!?
Johnny: No..it was weirdI heard these voices whispering
*Whisper of Rachel*: Revenge
Johnny: Yeah, like that. Next thing I know, I tripped and dislocated my shoulder? *gestures to his shoulder, which is obviously messed up*
Julia: Were doomed. Do you think you can try again?
Johnny: I guess Ill try again. Well getouchmedial help at the pitstop.
Julia: If we ever make it there.

Lauren: Come on, Amy, youre almost done! You can do anything, girl.
Amy: Ugh..Im so full. Done. Clue?
Shopkeeper: *hands clue to Amy*
Lauren: YES! *hugs Amy*
Amy: We can do anything! Lets get out of here, I see Rex alongside the road.
Rex: Hey, girls! Is this the right one?
Lauren: Yeah, it is! *shows clue*
Amy: (confessional) Lying to people can get you far, but people will just seek out revenge.

*Whisper of Prada*: Revenge
Julia: WHAT IS THAT?

Lauren: Make your way to the National Gallery of Namibia! Once there, search the gallery for your next clue!

Linda: I beat him!
Peter: GOOD. NOW GIVE US OUR CLUE, YOU DUMB KID.
Child: *gives Peter the clue*
Peter: THANK YOU.
Linda: Make your way to
Peter: READ FASTER!
Linda: M-make your wa-way t-to
Peter: STOP STUTERRING.
Linda: M-make y-youre your
Peter: GIVE THE CLUE TO ME. MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF NAMIBIA.

Julie: Did you do it?!
Carlos: No.
Julie: Come on, Carlos. You can do this.
Carlos: Stop pressuring me!

Johnny: Finished!
Julie: Yes! Clue?
*Whisper of Prada*: Break a leg, traitors
Julie: Huh?
Johnny: What is that?

Janice: DONE! Clue?
Shopkeeper: No.
Janice: They lied to us! Lets go to the second one!

Andy: Ughhhtwo meat pies is way too much. Clue?
Mandy: *throws up*
Shopkeeper: No.
Mandy: *throws up again* Uggghhhh.

*At the National Gallery of Namibia, teams find an intersection. This is the first intersection in the race. At an intersection, teams must work together with another team to solve clues up until they are told the intersection is over.*

Amy: Its an intersection!
Lauren: Rex and Nicole are coming, lets work with them!
Amy: REX! NICOLE! OVER HERE!
Rex: Want to work together?
Amy: Yeah, come on! Were the first ones here.
Rex: Roadblock..

*In this roadblock, only one member of the new team of four must participate. They must go inside of the National Gallery of Namibia and correctly locate and identify five different paintings. Once they do so, the Gallery manager will give them their next clue.*

Nicole: Look, guys! Theres a fast forward!
Rex: We dont need it, lets go!
Amy: Okay, but who is going to do the roadblock?
Lauren: I can do it?
Amy: Go ahead, Lauren...but hurry! Peter and Linda are coming.

Peter: Intersection.
Linda: Shoot, we have to wait.

Snow: These meat pies arent half bad
Rain: The other teams obviously didnt agree. Theres vomit all over the floor.
Snow: Done. Clue?
Shopkeeper: *gives clue*
Rain: Drive to the National Gallery of Namibia!

Shelley: Clue?
Shopkeeper: *gives clue*
Shelley: National Gallery of Namibia! Lets go, MOM.
Mary: Stop complaining!
Susie: Wait for us. We can work together
Janice: Clue?
Shopkeeper: *gives clue*
Janice: Lets go!

Patrice: I dont know if I can eat another one of these. Were only at the first King Pie.
Gary: Theres no way we could do the dash detour. We have to do this.
Patrice: (confessional) Being an older team definitely has its setbacks. We cant physically compete with some of the younger, more athletic teams.
Gary: Finally, were done. Clue?
Shopkeeper: No.
Patrice: *starts to cry*
Gary: Patrice, its okay. We can do this. Lets skip ahead to the third one.

Carlos: I DID IT!
Julie: FINALLY. Come on, lets go.
Carlos: You know? You need to be more supportive of me or else this whole relationship will not work.
Julie: (confessional) Im trying to be kind to him, but Ive never seen this side of him. Its just not what I expected from him at all. This race has been a huge eye opener.

Mandy: Were at the third King Pie, now. Come on, lets eat this fast.

Andy: Done. Clue?
Mandy: *crosses fingers*
Shopkeeper: No.
Mandy: UgghhhhhIm so close to just losing it on these King Pie shopkeepers. GIVE ME THE CLUE.
Shopkeeper: No.
Mandy: GIVE IT TO ME NOW.
Andy: *drags his granddaughter out of the store* theres only one more possible location.
Patrice: Andy, Mandy! Is this the right King Pie?
Mandy: YES IT IS.
Gary: Are you sure?
Mandy: YES. NOW GO INSIDE AND WASTE YOUR TIME EATING YOUR THIRD :censored:

MEAT PIE.
Patrice: (confessional) we could tell they were lying.
Gary: (confessional) so we followed them to the next location.

Peter: Johnny! Julia! Will you guys work with us on the intersection?
Julia: I dont knowmaybe
Peter: WORK WITH US NOW OR ILL DISLOCATE YOUR OTHER SHOULDER, JOHNNY.
Johnny: *winces* fine.
Linda: Who will do the roadblock?
Julia: I can do it, I guess?
Johnny: Hurry though, hon, Laurens in there right now.
*Whisper of Prada*: Payback

Lauren: Do any of you know where I can find the Bank Windhoek Triennale exhibition? Its the last one I need
Local: *leads Lauren to the exhibit*
Lauren: (confessional) Seeing these people in Namibia, I mean, it was so sad. Like, they all had so little, but they managed to find happiness in the little things that we all take for granted. Like the art gallery. People in the United States dont think twice before walking past one, but going to the gallery is the highlight of these peoples weeks. Its sad to see that they haveso little and we take all of those things for granted.
Lauren: Is this the painting I need?
Manager: *hands Lauren the clue*
Lauren: Make your way on foot to Fidel Castro Street with your intersected teams. Once there, search for your next clue underneath the street sign.

Amy: Lauren! You got it!
Rex: Come on, we need to get out of here.
Nicole: Yeah, Julia just went in like five minutes ago.
Amy: And here comes a few more teams.

Snow: Intersection. Come on, lets get Shelley and Mary to work with us, theyre coming.
Rain: Shelley, Mary! Will you guys work with us?
Mary: No. Were working with Susie and Janice. Right, Janice?
Janice: Surewhatever.
Rain: (confessional) Im pretty mad that Mary and Shelley just turned us down like that.
Snow: (confessional) Yeah, it was really rude.

Mary: Look! Theres a fast forward! Lets go for it.
Shelley: Make your way to Robert Mugabe Square and participate in a local tradition.
Susie: Sounds cool, lets go!

*What teams do not know is that they must all shave their heads in order to complete the fast forward.*

Rain: Greatnow were probably going to be the last teams intersected.
Snow: Theres team psycho. Want to work with them?
Carlos: JULIA! YOU NEED TO SUPPORT ME.
Julie: Whatever, Carlos, Im sick of you treating me like crap. So, just shut up and lets finish this race as a team. Alright?
Carlos: You need to stop being so rude to me. I AM A PERSON TOO.
Snow: Do you guys want to work together?
Julie: Whatever, fine. Its a roadblock.
Carlos: I WILL DO IT.

Julia: I cant find this one painting
*Whisper of Rachel*: Check the bathroom.
Julia: Oh! Good idea. *Julia walks into the bathroom*
*bathroom door slams shut*
*Prada and Rachel appear*
Prada: Payback really does suck doesnt it?
Julia: HUH?
*Lights go out*
*Paper towels go flying everywhere*

Rachel: Screaming wont help win you this race. And neither will screwing over other teams.

*Carlos opens the door and sees Rachel tied up to the sink*

*Prada and Rachel disappear, as do the ropes tying her to the sink*

Julia: Ohtheres the painting. Can I have my clue now?
Manager: *hands Julia the clue*

Johnny: You did it!
Julia: Hurry, were the second group out of here and Carlos is close behind me!

Susie: Were at the fast forward place! What do we have to do?
Local: You must shave your head.
Shelley: No way! Im not doing that!
Mary: Yes, you will.
Shelley: I am not going to shave my head!

Janice: *has her head shaved* See? It doesnt look that badoh god *looks at herself in the mirror*
Susie: YeahI did it too and we lookfine
Shelley: Im not doing this.
Susie: So we shaved our heads for no reason?
Shelley: I wont do this! I refuse! I am not going back to college bald.
Mary: Well, then lets get back to the museum.

Mandy: With our fourth meat pie. Just give us the clue. Now! Give it to us! We know you have it!
Shopkeeper: *gives clue*

Rain: Carlos is done! Awesome!

Carlos: DO I DETECT A HINT OF SARCASM?!
Julie: Yes.

Julia: You are no longer intersected.
Johnny: Hurry! We have to beat them!

Shelley: Roadblock. Who should do it? I think*sees Janice and Susie bald and begins to laugh*

Shelley: *laughing* I cant take either of you seriously now.
Mary: Ill do the roadblock.

Andy: Gary, Patrice, Mandy, who should do the roadblock?
Patrice: Lets go for the fast forward.
Mandy: Ummm*sees Janice and Susie* Lets not.

At the Yield, some teams have difficulty making a decision.

Rex: Theres the clue box! Should we yield Amy and Lauren?
Nicole: They were our partners, Rex! Besides, theres no way theyll beat us! The pitstop is coming up soon and they cant outrun us.

Carlos: We are so lost right now. These stupid locals cant speak any English and theyve walked us around the same park four times.
Julie: Carlos, relax.
Carlos: I AM RELAXED. YOU, CHILL OUT AND STOP YELLING AT ME! YOURE STRESSING ME OUT.

Mandy: The suspense of who will finish the roadblock first, Gary or Mary, is killing me. I mean, my grandpa is old and slow so were dead if it comes down to a footrace.
Andy: Excuse me, little missy.
Mandy: I said youre old and slow.
Andy: Oh.
Mandy: Yeah

Janice: Im so mad that we shaved our heads for no reason.
Susie: Wait a secondShelleys mom is in the roadblock. Nows our chance to ambush her.
Janice: Scissors?
Shelley: What do you guys want? Whats the *snips* WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!
Shelley: (confessional) And then they just snipped out a huge chunk of hair! Its ridiculous! Now I dont have bangs anymore! UGH! MOM!

Welcome to the pitstop at Zoo Park. This is the third pitstop in a race around the world.

*One team enters the park*

Shelley: (confessional) I was really experiencing aninner conflict. I want to yield those bald girls. Theyre rude, mean, and worst of all; ugly. They need to go.
Mary: Why? Because theyre ugly?

Andy: Caution! Yield ahead!
Mandy: We cant get there last.

Gary: (confessional) We dont want to yield anybody, but we will if we have to.
Patrice: Yes.

Patrice: Just keep running! The hares might get there quickly, but the tortoises will win the race.

Gary: We didnt expect to make it past this leg. Im just lucky to be doing this with Patrice.

Susie: I like your wig more, it looks better on you.
Janice: Are you kidding? Look at the braids on yours.

Janice: Britney, how did you manage to pull the bald look off?
Britney: Im sorry to tell you

Phil: Some teams had trouble at the detour...

Carlos: He barely beat me. We were so close.

Julie: ON THE HUNDRED METER DASH?

Janice: Look, Susie, theres puke all over the floor.

Phil: While some others excelled...

Phil: During an intersected Fast Forward, Janice & Susie and Mary & Shelley argued...

Now, 9 teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Phil: This is Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. And in Windhoek is Zoo Park. This park, which is the focal point of social life in the city, was the third pit stop in a race around the world. Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period. The nine teams waiting here have no idea whats in store for them.

Amy & Lauren, who were first to arrive at 1.01pm, will depart at 1.01am.

Lauren: Hosea Kutako was the first leader of Hereroland. Find him in the city, and you will get your next clue.

Phil: Teams must now figure out that what they are looking for is this statue in the Parliament Gardens. It is here that teams will find their next clue.

*Rex & Nicole depart at 1.04am*

Amy: Weve chosen to work together with Rex & Nicole. They seem to know what they are doing.

Nicole: I have no idea where we are going. The streets are empty. Everythings closed. Heres the girls.
Lauren: Hey guys. Do you have any idea where this guy is?
Rex: Well, no. Theres no one around here. I think we should just go to a hotel and go back looking when it is light.

*Johnny & Julia depart at 6.42am*
Johnny: Julia, these two teams are hours ahead of us. We need to find this guy, and fast.
Julia: In my guidebook, it says there is a statue of him here. Parliament Gardens.
Johnny: Lets get a taxi.

*Rain & Snow depart at 6.56am*
Rain: Snow, we need to be fast at getting to this guy. The statue of him is in a park. We can run there.
Snow: But Im tired. My backpack is weighing me down.
Rain: Youve just had a 12 hour rest and youre still too tired? Ugh, Ill take the backpack.

*Peter & Linda depart at 6.59am*
Peter: Linda, lets hurry it up.
Linda: Where are we going?
Peter: The higher-class part of the city. Hes bound to live there.

Rex: Weve overslept. We should be there by now.
Lauren: Lets hurry. The receptionist told us that it was in Parliament Gardens, and it was supposed to have opened at 7.00am.

*Johnny & Julia: Currently in 1st Place
Johnny: Heres the box Julia.
Julia: Right. Take a combi to Swakopmund...

Phil:Teams must now go in 1 of 5 combis to Swakopmund. Once there, teams must find the lighthouse to get their next clue. Combis will depart every 20 minutes, starting at 7.30am, and only 2 teams can get on each combi.

Johnny: Yes! How are we first?
Julia: I guess the other teams arent as good as we thought, eh?

*Rain & Snow: Currently in 2nd Place
Snow: Wow. How did we do that? Second place.

Rex & Nicole, Amy & Lauren: Currently in 3rd Place
Nicole: Dammit. Were on the second thing.
Rex: Thats what happens when we let our guard down.

*Carlos & Julie depart at 7.30am*
Julie: I have no idea where were supposed to go. Lets ask this guy. Where is Hosea Kutako?
Local: Hes dead.
Julie: Well, where is he now?
Local: There is a statue of him at the Tintenpalast. In the gardens. I think.

*Combi 1 departs at 7.30am*

Peter: Linda, this lady over here says Kutako is in the Parliament Gardens. This is all your fault. Now were gonna lose.
Linda: Im sorry, but how was I supposed to know he is dead?
Peter: Intuition. Were going to have to get the Fast Forward now!
Linda: What are we doing for this one?

Phil:For this Fast Forward, teams must find the marked car and go to Etosha National Park. Once there, teams must get a clue out of the Okakuejo Watering Hole.

Carlos & Julie: Currently in 5th Place
Carlos: Right. Were on the 3rd combi.

*Combi 2 departs at 7.50am*
*Andy & Mandy depart at 7.58am, and make the 4th combi (they miss the 3rd one)*
*Shelley & Mary depart at 8.02am and get on the 4th combi*

Gary: Were in the last car, and were 20 minutes behind.

Peter: Congratulations, you have won the Fast Forward! Yes! Make your way to the next pit stop--

Phil: Having won the Fast Forward, Peter & Linda may now skip all tasks and get on this small plane to Windhoek, and find a flight to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Once in Northern Ireland, they must go to Carrick Island, the pit stop for this leg of the race.

Peter: Right, here's the plane going to Windhoek.
Linda: This better be a first place for us now.

*Swakopmund*
Snow: There's the lighthouse. Get the clue.
Rain: Detour!

Phil: In this detour, teams must choose between Dunes and Dives. In Dunes, teams must find the quad bikes on the beach. Then, teams must ride the quad bikes to the Matterhorn Sand Dune to get their next clue. In Dives, teams must go to a skydiving school and then skydive from a plane 10,000ft to the Matterhorn Sand Dune to get to the same clue box.
Rain: Right. We should do the skydiving?
Snow: Yeah. OK. But quickly, here comes Johnny and Julia.

Johnny & Julia: Currently in 3rd Place
Johnny: Detour. Dunes or Dives.
Julia: The quad bikes will be faster.

Rex: Amy & Lauren and us have a route planned out to go straight there. We know what we are doing. We can easily make up the 20 minutes.

Rain: This skydiving is going to be insane.
Skydiving Instructor: Time to go.

Johnny: This quad bike is really easy to ride. We're gonna be first to this next clue box.
