this makes a difference because half a dozen members could all post in a row to the same thread but only the most recent of those posts to that thread would show up in the last 10 posts search that shows up on the bottom of the main page.

I just tested that with the two other test messages in this thread.

I had presumed I was seeing the 10 most recent posts even if they were in the same thread. Or is it done by forum?

Hmmm maybe I need to check further.

You can use html coding but instead of the < and > brackets, you have to use the square brackets.. the ones you get if you don't hit shift for these { }
