Obi Wan Kenobi's ghost? in second movie? Episode II?.....

Obi Wan became a ghost in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back...

to whom does the ghost is addressing that? he's addressing that question to Luke right?

I guess the answer there is... Yoda is one of the oldest and greatest Jedi masters... I think Qui Gon Jin is Yoda's padawan... so basically Yoda taught many Jedi masters.... Grin

in jedi lore...

padawan and teacher... but the jedi master's trained different aspects of a padawan....

remember yoda teaching all the younglings in ep 2?

I read somewhere that Mace was a master with the lightsaber, yoda master of the mind: patience, self control, selflessness, etc.....
each taught the padawans different aspects....

The duo that we saw (Qui Gonn and ObiWan, ObiWan and Anakin) is for the day in day out duties and tasks that a jedi would have had to deal with.... training of logistics I guess you can say....

after watching ep 3 (2x).. I've gone back to watch the originals.....some things have caught my attention as well...

Pulled up the script online. I guess we just have to assume that in ep. 1-3 they tied up the plot but you can't make everything seamless.

Luke lies face down in the snow, nearly unconscious. Slowly he looks
up and sees Ben Kenobi, barely visible through the blowing snow. It is
hard to tell if Kenobi is real or a hallucination.

BEN
Luke... Luke.

LUKE
(weakly)
Ben?

BEN
You will go to the Dagobah system.

LUKE
Dagobah system?

BEN
There you will learn from Yoda,
the Jedi Master who instructed me.

I think Shamon mentioned earlier that even though there were Padawans the Jedi still learned from the other masters.

Later on there is this...

I cannot teach him. The boy has
no patience.

Luke's head spins in the direction the creature faces. But there is no
one there. The boy is bewildered, but it gradually dawns on him that
the little creature is Yoda, the Jedi Master, and that he is speaking
with Ben.

BEN'S VOICE
He will learn patience.

YODA
Hmmm. Much anger in him, like his father.

BEN'S VOICE
Was I any different when you
taught me?

Another hole in the plot (from Return of the Jedi)...big one at that.

BEN (continuing his narrative)
When your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant. Your
mother and I knew he would find out eventually, but we wanted to keep
you both as safe as possible, for as long as possible. So I took you
to live with my brother Owen on Tatooine... and your mother took Leia
to live as the daughter of Senator Organa, on Alderaan.

Luke turns, and settles near Ben to hear the tale.

I noticed that too when I rewatched "Jedi". When Luke tells Leia they're brother/sister (never mentions the twin thing), he asks her if she remembers her mother and she says "yes" Kept thinking... "Wow! She's got an amazing memory if she remembers that" LOL

maybe Ben was confused, he was old and dead after all. Maybe he thought that if he told Luke that his father new about him, Luke would wonder why he didn't come after him. ok i know i know i am stretching

but give the guy some credit, when he made the first three he never planned to make the second. And maybe Leia was nuts when she said she remembered her mother, maybe she thought he meant her adopted mother. Cuz even before i saw the second trilogy i was under the impression she died in childbirth...

yeah.. that was my same impression..... that Leia must be speaking of the Senator's wife....

hmmm.... that's a big hole that Lucas has overlooked huh.... or maybe... Obi Wan didn't know that Padme has disclosed her pregnancy to Anakin... but... her tummy is big... hehehe....

Whoa. Borad. That IS a huge hole. You'd think Lucas would've done a better job at melding all the story lines. Or at the very least, asked a Star Wars geek to copyedit for him!

I saw the first Star Wars when it came out and haven't missed one since.

With that being said, maybe Lucas shouldn't have waited so long to
write another or should have check the past ones more carefully.
Like hire a proofreader!

We haven't seen this last one, too much onour plate.
Next week for sure we'll see it! Wink
