As far as Beetle is concerned, y'all are being mean.  I never expect this place to be so mean.  She is just an outspoken woman who likes to banter.  I see no mean spirit in her.  I think the comment she made about relating to Rup's spouse says it all.  Just good spirited banter.  She is in the minority and she is brave to argue an unpopular point.  That is the kind of candor I like.  It isn't just mean and bitter.
