I talked to Reichen's Mom quite a while on the phone yesterday. They were about 60 miles away form Discovery Beach & had gone through several thunderstorms during travel time.

Pocket, I in no way felt your question was a slur or insult, I was just explaining why after answering your question about Lance, I didn't go into any more detail. I'm sorry if the answer sounded curt...it wasn't intended to sound so, my friend.

The autograph session was barely controlled chaos, in a fun way! The Survivors looked and acted like rock stars, they were really enjoying themselves and were really fantastic to the public, even though everyone was so hot!

The Saturday dinner was a little more low key. Everyone knew things were drawing to a close and you could see that the Survivors were going to miss seeing each other for a while. There was a lot more sitting and chatting and taking pictures of each other.

Here's a pic of Reichen and John P. checking out a picture they just shot of themselves...

Judd was really the life of the party tonight! At one point he was doing cartwheels and split his pants. Let's just say that 'little Judd and his pals' made an unexpected visit!

Here's a pic of Judd and Jamie relaxing at the bar...

Jan, our host, managed to procure the Survivor Vanuatu sign from that season's finale set and he has each Survivor who attends sign it. Here's a pic of Brooke signing it while Brian tries to order something from the bar using x-ray vision...

Now, to explain the 'Secret photo' from yesterday...

Each year, the Survivors who are attending the bash purchase some large item, sign it and present it to our host Jan as a token of their appreciation for putting this wonderful event together. This year, Twila arranged for a friend of hers to make a big wooden sign with a Discovery Beach Bash logo on it. It was beautiful. I didn't want to spoil it yesterday in case Jan had a spare moment to visit us here as he did the weeks leading up to the Bash. So, here's a picture of the Survivors from the Secret Pic signing the gift up in Twila's room...

I had a great time this weekend and am looking forward to attending again next year. Jan, if you read this, you put on one hell of a great event! I thank you for that and for treating this first-timer so nicely!

Lake and I4S, it was so great finally meeting you both! I look forward to many more Discovery Beach Bashes to come with you gals!

I'll post a wrap-up and more pics after I get back in a few days from my whirlwind Florida tour to see my relatives which begins....NOW!!

I got up around 9 or so. I4S was up earlier. We had plans for breakfast with Mum, Mr. Mum and Reichen. Walked a block over to the restaurant, got a table and then talked to Mum. Seems Reichen stayed out late with the others for the after party and wanted to sleep in before his flight out. So I4S and I ate and came back and watched a Lifetime movie. We had to wait awhile till the minions who's ambushed the pool finally got tired and left.

Now we are swimming and sitting under an umbrella enjoying the ocean breeze and reading. I decided it was time to open my birthday present that I4S brought me from Napa. A bottle of Beringer Chardonnay Private Reserve. I need to treat myself to expensive wine more often. This stuff is GREAT! Grin

Shortly we plan to walk 1/2 a block to the Cocoa Beach Pier which we can see from our balcony. There a lots of restaurants, bars, shops and arcades.
I am SO glad we choose not to leave on Sunday. It's so nice to have no pressure to deal with a hangover, get to the airport and deal with a flight. The downside is that we will be a couple more days in posting pics. But they will be worth the wait. I took 12 pictures on a disposable camera on Friday night and I have no clue what they are. It should be fun to see. lol
Scribe has the best pics. I4S and I were too busy having fun to get all the great ones as we did last year.

I had the most awesome time at DB 2006! All the Survivors and TAR folks were kind, generous with their time and fun!

The event was so well planned, I can't tell you that enough. Thanks to Jan, Iris and all the folks who helped to make it such a wonderful event. Both days were so much fun but the afterparty.... whoot, whoot!!! My hubby has a cast on his arm and I've had a problem with my achilles tendon so we didn't dance but it was a blast watching the Survivors dance with each other and with the fans.

I was equally stoked to meet all the great folks who post on this and other boards. Lakelady, Insane4Survivor and MediaScribe (hope I didn't leave anyone out) are THE BEST! It was a blast hanging out with you guys! Hope we meet again soon.

I'll share some photos here, if it's okay, as soon as I can get my laptop up and running.
