What a great premiere! I loved the way they structured that!

What I find interesting is they haven't had a CSI die since Episode 1 of Season 1 (it was actually episode 2, but she was shot in episode 1).

Which CSI are you talking about?  Las Vegas, Miami, New York or that Navy one?

Yeah.  You may be right, but I was soooo hoping her contract negotiations would fall through so she'd be killed off.
(If you wanna see a MAIN character knocked off, tune into Criminal Minds next week when Mandy Patankin's character leaves in a body bag.)

I read a spoiler that Sara's real life counterpart (sorry, can't remember her real name)  didn't get her contract renewed and she'll be gone as of Oct./Nov.

Her real name is Jorja Fox.

Maybe they'll try to kill her again! Cheesy  We can only hope they succeed this time.

Why does everyone hate her anyway?

TV Guide though says she is leaving in Nov.

LOL ex-Isle, you sound like my dd... she wanted her killed off too... when they found her, dd kept hoping for her to flat line in the ambulance... she's hated the character...

I read her your post, she said the only hope we have now is for the reveal of her relationship with grissom to stress her a$$ right off the show...

we're both sad to see gideon carted out, but it sure eliminates that bothersome need for "guest appearances" - when he goes, he goes!

There are talks in the works that he'll star as a "guest cadaver" on CSI.   Wink (Appearing with Sara, hopefully.)

I don't dislike Sara at all, and I am sorry to see her go.  I am not surprised negotations fell through.  She wanted a higher salary because her character has become a bigger role, and a more important one as Grissom's lover.  The executives disagreed and didn't want to increase her salary.  I'd bow out as well.  When your job takes on more it's normal to get a raise, in any field.

Offtopic, but isn't this the second show he's walked out on? CBS better not trust him a third time.  Roll Eyes

Yep, he left Chicago Hope when it was at it's peak... I'm just thankful he walked, and wasn't carted off in a body bag, as I thought he would be...

And just to keep this on topic, love the adverts for CSI.. "how long has this been going on" question... Sara - 2 years; Grissom - 9 years.. LOL.. apparently it was going on 7 years and Sara didn't even know... the girl IS slow... Sad

Actually I believe it was worded, how long have you been "seeing" each other. Grissom's reply was sarcasm at it's finest.  Cheesy

Warrick is dead!!!! I knew he was leaving, but didn't expect them to blow him away like that!!!

I don't watch "Miami" - but, if Horatio is indeed dead - who is going to be taking the lead?

Yeah.  I saw Warrick get wasted too.  Ironic isn't it? That's probably the reason he won't be on CSI.  But he may be making a guest appearance on COPS.  I think he's up on drug charges.  I hope things work out for him.

I love the show. It's one of my favorite tv series. I liked season 8 very much. Sara is my favorite character.

I was hoping that the miniature serial killer would have killed her off.  If she had died, Grissom would still be on the show instead of being in some hut somewhere in Costa Rica.

I so agree!  We kept hoping she'd die in the desert before anyone found her.. but no.. they had to get there just before the heat and dehydration did her in... Sad
