Clue: Drive to Page, Arizona and find the Glen Canyon Dam. Once there, find a guide to escort you to the top of the dam and the next clue.
 
Detour:  
Bearing: On Horseshoe Bend at the Glen Canyon Dam, teams need to travel by motorized raft to a location and choose one of five colored coded cards with a unique compass coordinate. Then, using a compass, they must follow the coordinates to their next card. To complete the task, they had to find three locations in this manor and collect the same colored card at each point.
 
Team Task for Bearing (+5): Use any online sources to find the GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates for the trail which goes to the view point of Horseshoe Bend. PM me your answer. You must put Leg 1 Detour: Bearing in the subject line. NOTE: THIS ONE IS HARD!!  Smiley  
 
Bailing: Also on Horseshoe Bend, teams must travel by motorized raft to a section of water where they have to select a submerged boat and bail enough water out of it to make it light enough to carry onshore to a marked location.
 
Team Task for Bailing (+10): Use any online sources to find a picture of a tipping bucket commonly found at water parks. PM me the picture. You must put Leg 1 Detour: Bailing in the subject line.
 
YOU MUST COMPLETE EITHER TASK FOR THIS DETOUR. THE DEADLINE WILL BE ON MONDAY 11/13 AT 12:00 PM EST.
