Just saw it 2 days ago. I didn't notice that the episode was too TAR7 until Popo mentioned it. I kind of agree. The shoe-shine RB was meh. The Detours were so unbalanced (pun intended? lol), and I thought the head-balancing Detour was misleading!!! If I was there and I found out you could hold the jug I would have cried foul.
 
Love the taxi race in India. Totally horrific for the racers, fun for us just sitting on the couch (or in my case, in front of the computer).
 
The final clue was predictable. Even Andy and Laura looked like they wanted to tell Allan "Yea yea we know. Give us the clue!!!" No surprises. I would have loved a Pit Stop that is NOT 12-hours but rather 5 minutes.
 
Allan: "You are team number....... 1! However, you have to leave the Pit Start .... in 5 minutes. Good luck."

I didn't realize that it was so TAR7-ish too but i knew i had seen the shoe shine detour before. And the milk. I just forgot what season it was from.  Tongue
 
If Uchenna/Joyce saw this episode i bet their disappointed in the Milk detour.

^^ i thought that was an unfair advantage, when the african people do the head balancing stuff they have hands free or only ONE hand for balance if its a large object like a water urn  Angry

I was not offended at Andrew and Syeon's "We're not Catholic" comment. They were not obliged to light the candle anyway.

Ironic that J/ZZ brought up the point about eating till they can't eat any more, because many people in India are starving!

I think the Indians themselves need to use hands to balance the jugs on their heads. And I think it was stated on the clue that they could use their hands for support. Allan said the task was physically demanding, but did not say that teams need a keen sense of balance.

Just my hunch, the pots in India seem a lot heavier than the plastic pails in Africa. Maybe the Africans have a better sense of balance than the Indians, and each TAR committee follow exactly how it's done in each place.
