When Rousseau leads Sayid to a mysterious captive in the jungle, he becomes determined to find out if he is one of the Others. OMG... just realised that the guy they capture is Michael Emerson. He played that crazed guy on "The Practice" that showed up with the head in a duffle bag and the firm got him off.. then he started terrorizing Lindsay and Bobby asked one of his former clients to "take care of the problem for him" and the guy's head ended up in the freezer... he scared the hell out of me on that show... almost to the point that I couldn't watch it near the end of his run. He's just creepy!!

Things to note from the podcast:

The scam with the chains (Long Con) actually happened to Carlton Cuse when he first moved to California.

This week's episode was written by Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof.

Not too happy with ABC promo, think they showed too much in the promo...

Story arc for the next four or five episodes of the show.

Takes place before the other two Sayid episodes, "young" Sayid.

(Lots of conversation about what is on the Olympics opposite them, hope it's not Bode Miller... hoping it will be Biathalon. Wonder about how biathalon came to be, what makes you think of skiing and shooting... Lindelof is "biathalon curious" he says, can't decide if he wants to ski or shoot.. LOL)

Question & Answer bit is quite amusing... especially the question about Quentin Tarentino directing.. go give it a listen if you get a chance.. LOL.

I don't like to see torture scenes. Guess it's coming
at a time when there are news reports of torturing prisoners.

Hopefully Sawyer's part will increase since his popularity has!

This man is just pure evil!! I'm sure he's a very nice guy, but every part he plays creeps me out!!

As for the rest... did you notice Kate's dad? And the picture of Kate? I kept thinking too bad he didn't show the pic to Sayid, surely he's have remembered her had he seen it. Also, the episode tonight was the "blip" that was on the TV in the recruiting office when Kate went to see her dad.

Kept wondering if perhaps Hurley's friend is in that same unit, the one he told Sayid about in the pilot episode.. going to go back and see if he mentions a name or unit number.. and see if they're the same.. would be another nice "connection"

I loved this episode... can't wait to get the iTunes and re-watch to see what I missed!!

All I noticed were Zeke and that guy Sayid tortured were from the US army. Wow, so much connectedness.

Different actor entirely! That actor is the guy who does the voice of Mr. Krabbs on Spongebob, and was also the head prison guard on Shawshank Redemption. He's played in a ton of stuff, typically as a bad guy, but definitely a different actor than Zeke who was the pilot in the movie Con Air.

Also, I thought Henry was Kate's stepdad from the truck, because him wearing the helmut sort of looked like him.

Loved the dialogue between Tariq and Sayid. Tell them he's a goat or something. Sayid: He doesn't know. Tariq: Put the bag over your head and tie it up. This is an order....
