Help from SEAsian members...

This isn't exactly the spot for this.. but the Grapevine is down, and I'm too ADD to remember to post this when it's back up.. Cheesy

How do you make Boba/Bubble tea??  I had one for the first time last week, and really liked it... but NO one around here sells them.  Can you buy those little "bobas" premade?  I'm thinking the "tea" part of it I could easily do - since it's basically tea, milk, flavors, ice, etc... but I need bobas!

Help...

Lately I've become addicted to it..and after calculating my expenses, realize that I spend between 20% to 25% of my measly salary on it each week. Time to cut down..

OMG. In Singapore it comes with different types.

Ice Blended, Milk Tea, Milk Shake, Red Tea, Green Tea, Yoghurt

You choose the type you want, then you choose your flavour.

Orange, strawberry, chocolate, coffee, passion fruit, lemon, kiwi and at elast 30 other flavours to choose from!! Smiley

I buy ice-blended just before I go to work, and then it lasts me for the next 6-8 hours.

Ewww, it's going to melt and taste badly.

But Ice Blended is still my favourite. I'll ask the person to add more water to the Ice Blend such that it's more of like 7-11 Slurpee (wonder if that's available in Malaysia or other countries)

Yea it has a tendency to get extra sweet after it melted. But after it melts it becomes "snow-shake" lol. And the air-con in the shop is cold enough that the drink stays fairly cool.

I don't quite like Slurpees tho. The taste/look just like colored ice (which is exactly what they are). And I don't like the "mystery flavors" that 7-11 here is promoting at the moment.
