'Earl' Gives NBC Big Lift
"My Name is Earl" debuted on Tuesday to a very impressive 6.4 adults 18-49 rating at 9 p.m., Media Life reports. It was the highest-rated new comedy premiere on any network since NBC's "Joey" averaged a 7.2 last fall.  
 
It was the night's highest-rated show by nearly a full ratings point and boosted lead-out "The Office" to its best numbers since its debut last year.
 
It had the best Tuesday premiere for any new shows in the past three years. "Earl" also gave lead-out "The Office" a boost. "The Office," posted a 4.3 rating among 18-49s, a 72 percent increase over the 2.5 rating it averaged last season.

If you have a sense of humor and a quirky one at that, you'll get great laughs during this show!  I loved it!
 
As it came on at the same time as the BB6 finale, we taped it and watched it last night.

This coming Tuesday, watch, tape or tivo this 30 minute show.

I watched the re-air on Bravo. The first episode was funny. He helps the kid he picked on in school. They went to the gay bar. It was a classic with Earl's friend dancing at the end with the other guy.

Last night's episode was funny!  He was making  
amends for sending his buddy to prison.  The ex-wife
and her boy friend are hysterical!  Poor Earl!  Wink

When I remember to watch, this is hilarious!  I loved the one where he was going to help the old lady stop smoking... and someone suggested carrots.. but they had trouble lighting them.. :laff:

I loved that episode!  It was actually his brother that dances at the end.  I have always loved Jason Lee's acting.  He's appeared in most of Kevin Smith's projects, and the guy who plays his brother Randy has been in a couple as well (most notably as the guy who can't see the sailboat in Mallrats).

The show will be moved to Thursday nights in January, 2006.
I guess they don't even want to tangle with American Idol and ratings.
 
EARL< keep on a truckin'!  Funniest show we've seen in a long time,
along with Two & a Half Men!
