In case you're wondering, it's the....

BACKTRACK

Phil The Backtrack appears on every 3rd leg, and this is the 1st of 3. Teams can force another team to return to the previous route marker, where the unlucky team has to turn over the hourglass and wait for the sand to run out, about 30 mins. Then that team can return to the original route marker and pick up the next clue. Like the FF and Yield, only 1 team can use it per leg and only once throughout the entire race. In other words, this is the MOST POWERFUL ROUTE MARKER yet. HAHAHA!!! (evil)

Reichen Wanna use it?

Proceeding to the route marker, the pair discovered a roadblock.

Jaree Who is ready to test your strength?

Reichen This will be my 2nd roadblock.

Jaree Under the guidance of a taekwando master, you will have to break one board, two boards and three boards with your bare hands. Upon completion, you will receive the next clue.

Reichen prepares himself for the next task.

The single board.....

KARK!!! It breaks.

2 boards now.

KARRRRRKKK!!!!

3 boards now.

KKAAAAAARRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! 3 in a row.

Reichen That was not easy.

Jaree Get your assess to the next pit stop, a camp site just 10 meters away from the North Korean border.

Meanwhile at the pit stop, Fiancee alighted from the shuttle and walked to Phil.

Phil Christie and Kelly, you're team #1.

Kelly We kicked some major butt.

Right at this moment, Whiny stormed through Incheon airport and grabbed a taxi, now squarely in last place.

Team Intensity arrived at the Backtrack 4 seconds before Team Lawyer.

Colin Looks interesting....shall we?

Jon I've got a better idea... (whispers something into colin's ear)

Colin Jon, you're one hell of a genius, man!!

Mirna Drats, we could have used it on those 2!

Both teams elected not to use it. Brennan and Colin elected to perform the roadblock.

Colin broke the first 2 sets in a flash, before Brennan could begin.

Colin Mirna, this is how it's done.

Mirna& Brennan roll eyes.

Brennan err....

He broke the 1st set.

Colin completed the last set and sped off.

Charla & Jill are now begging for money. They meet a horny man.

Horny man (looking at Jill) My, you look sexy.

Grabbing the chance, Jill asked for money. Horny man gave them 120,000 won.

Brennan finshed the roadblock 3rd. Team Short arrived at the roadblock 4th.

Charla I thought those 2 idiots would have use the backtrack on us.

Jill Thank god.

Charla & Jill elected not to use it. Charla decided to do her part and performed the roadblock. After breaking the 1st board.....

Charla That hurt like hell!!

HEA arrived 5th, Curly 6th and Chip 7th.

Gay Chip Let's backtrack the Whinies. That's our only chance to save our butts.

Flo and Nicole have been BACKTRACKED.

Meanwhile, Flo and Nicole arrived at Seoul Tower and headed to World Taekwando Federation.

Margarita, Zach and Straight Chip have decided to perform the roadblock.

Together with Charla, some of the racers had difficulties, but they all completed the roadblock within 2 mins of each other.

Frank Margarita, let's go.

Team Gay are now on the shuttle, about 3 quarters the journey completed. Team Intensity are halfway there, but had fill the shuttle with gasoline, losing valuable time.

One pair is now heading towards the pit stop.

Phil Reichen and Jaree, you're Team #2.

Flo and Nicole arrived at the Backtrack, only to realized that they have been stabbed in the back.

Flo AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

They returned to the Seoul Tower.

A man and a woman approached the pit stop.

Phil Mirna and Brennan, you're Team #3.

Another couple arrived.

Phil Frank and Margarita, you're Team #4.

2 girls arrived.

Phil Charla and Jill, you're the 5th team to arrive.

Phil Hoever, I will need to check your wallet.

Phil pulls out 85000 won.

Phil The rule states that you cannot carry more than US$50 for this leg. However, you're now carrying money worth about US$75. So I am sorry to give you a 30 minute penalty.

Charla and Jill's jaws opened wide.

Team Intensity arrives at the scene.

Phil Colin and Jon, because of Charla and Jill's penalty, you guys are Team #5.

Colin Thank you! Grin

Team Whiny arrived back at Seoul Tower and turned over the hourglass.

Team Curly and Team Chip found themselves severely lost.

Phil Charla & Jill, you're now Team #6.

2 males arrived at the pit stop.

Phil Brandon and Zach, you're team #7.

Team Whiny heads to the roadblock.

Phil Chip and Chip, you're Team #8.

Nicole decides to perform the roadblock. It took a while, but they managed to complete the task.

Flo It's OK even we are eliminated today.

Brennan We've gotta be quick, coz we have the worst average right now.

Frank In the 1st season, Brennan beat us to the finish line. SO what's our plan today??

12.52pm. Team Intensity were the 5th to depart

Colin We are not going to yield Charla and Jill on this leg.

Jon Coz we have a really sinister plan. That is really gonna scare them.

Chrisite and Kelly exited the subway station and found the route marker.

Chrisite Grab a marked car and drive yourselves to the town of Gangchon, 90 minutes away. Then drive yourselves to the direction of Gugokpokpo and stop at a route marker along the way.

1.18pm, Team Short departs 6th

Charla What's our plan this leg?

Jill Let's yield Colin and Jon!!

1.23pm Team Curly 7th to depart

Zach We gotta hussle.

2pm, Team Gay and Lawyer arrived at the palace and headed towards their car.

HEA and Intensity arrived.

Frank Let's take the Lexus.

Margarita No, the Audi.

Frank Lexus!

Colin Just grab a Mercedez!

And the boys are off. The Couple decides on a Toyota.

2.24pm, Flo and Nicole 8th to depart.

Flo This leg we are taking a laid back attitude. We don't even care if we are eliminated.

Team Short and Curly get into their cars.

Phil This is 1st of only 2 legs where teams may claim the Immunity Necklace. Teams have to follow a marked path and proceed to a makeshift hut where they will find Jeff Probst. He will ask 5 questions related to TAR. If a team answers 3 correctly, they will be rewarded the immunity necklace. If they don't, they would have wasted their time. Only 1 team may claim each leg, but teams can possess both necklaces throughout the entire race. With the necklace, they will spared from elimination if they have the necklace with them. If they don't use it in the end, they can exchange it for $10000 prize money.

Christie Nah....

Kelly pulls out a Detour.

Kelly With Gravity or Against Gravity

Phil In With Gravity, teams have to experience a 21m bungee jump on the world's CHEAPEST bungee jump, for about US$10. It's harrowing but can be completed quickly. In Against Gravity, teams have to cycle to the base of Bonghwasan and hike 486m to the top to retrieve the next clue. There's nothing scary, but it will take quite a while.

Kelly My stomach tells me to bungee jump.

The Fiancees brace themselves for the jump.

Kelly/Christie AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Upon completion of the Detour, they received the next clue.

Chrisitie Drive yourselves nearly 400km to the city of Busan, and find the Beomeosa Temple.

Flo/Nicole arrives at Gyeongbokgung Palace and drove off to the next location.

All the remaining teams, save for Whiny, arrive within 5 minutes of each other. Lawyers, who decided to save their butts, heads off to claim the Immunity Necklace. All other teams chose With Gravity and this is the order of the jump.

The two decided to go hiking. Along the way, they plucked tulips and blew the dandelions.

Flo I feel like a 4-year-old again.

Colin sensed something amiss after driving 30 mins. They pulled over at a gas station and asked for directions.

Colin Jon, you're the BIGGEST IDIOT ALIVE!!! We are going THE WRONG WAY!!

Jon You told me to turn right. YOU FOOL.

Colin threw the map at him and yelled, " F off, dude!"

Charla and Jill were on the right way, trailing behind the pack.

Jill Let's ask that guy who looks like he's fishing in the pond for directions.

Charla confronted him. Before she could say something, the guy snatched Charla's purse and sped off with it and disappeared into the woods. Jill tried to chase but it was in vain.

Charla NOO!!!

Jill Cry

Team Whiny finished the hike and skipped all the way down to the base, where they drove off in their car, still in last place.

Buy tickets on an 11-hour ferry ride to Jeju Island. Then drive yourselves to the town of Seongsan and grab a ferry to Udo otherwise known as Cow Island. The clue awaits at the pier.

They found out that the boat only departs at 11pm, and eventually all 8 teams snagged tickets on the same ferry. On the journey, Team Intensity formed alliance with their female counterparts.

The ferry arrived at 10am and teams raced for taxis. Eventually all teams got tickets on the same ferry to Udo. Team HEA arrived 1st at the route marker, everyone else behind within a 10-sec timeframe.

Everyone rushed to pit stop. Being 1.6 hectare large, some racers got terribly lost. Eventually......

However, the team that crosses the finish line 1st gets only 500,000. The other 500,000 comes from consistent performance. The team with the best average in the end wins that other half.

CC grabbed the clue on the backpack and read

Drive yourselves to the airport. Then book flights to Tokyo, Japan and head to the Imperial Palace.

Christie
In Tokyo, you're allowed to travel by subway and buses and nothing else.

Nicole
You now have $100 for this leg of the race.

Teams sped off in their cars, but eventually all teams booked the same flight from Jeju to Tokyo via Seoul/Incheon. Touchdown time: 2pm

Immediately teams got lost on the crazy subway. Cousins found themselves in Shibuya, GP in Ueno and OOps somewhere near Haneda Airport. (BTW they are not very near the destination.)

A very lost GP exited Ueno station and headed to Ueno Park, which is the wrong destination. Oddly enough they found a route marker.

Jaree
Travel to Tsukiji Fish Market, the largest in Japan, and Mr Watanabe will give you the next clue.

EDIT: WRONG DESTINATION

Camp Colin, excluding Flo/Zach(who are no longer members), worked together and arrived at the entrance of the Imperial Palace 1st.

Travel to the town of Kamakura by JR train...

and find the great Buddha statue.

Team Hunks arrive 10 mins later, and followed the given instructions, hoping to catch up.

CC and JOKE told Team God of their sinister plan, and they agreed to join in.

Flo realized her team was in the wrong place and threw her arms in the air, screaming.

HEA arrived swiftly at the scene and headed off to Kamakura. Team GP arrived at Tsukiji Fish Market and searched through hundreds of short Japanese men for Mr Watanabe.

Detour: Transportation or Digestion

In Transportation, teams have to transport crates of raw fish to a truck, all 500kg of it. It will be physically demanding, but it won't be much of a culture shock. In Digestion, teams are treated to eat raw salmon and trout, with a HELL LOT OF WASABI, HAHAHAHA Grin

It won't be tiring, but it could taste terrible.

As Camp Colin boarded the train, Team HEA and Hunks alighted. Meanwhile GP finished the detour and are dead beat.

Head to the....huff...next pit stop...puff...the Tokyo Tower...um..shaped like the Eiffel Tower.

Jill
Hmmm, no roadblock.

Team HEA arrived at the Buddha 4th, 10 secs ahead of 5th place Hunks. Both teams scrambled to the train station.

Camp Colin arrive back in Tokyo and are frantically searching for the dog statue.

Meanwhile, one team arrived at the pit stop.

Both teams decided to give it up and head to Kamakura and find the buddha. Meanwhile, GP still can't figure out how to use the subway, and alighted at the wrong stations, boarded the wrong trains in the wrong direction.

Camp Colin arrived at Ueno Park, then proceeded on to Tsukiji Fish Market. Team GP finally found the Imperial Palace, and boarded the train to Kamakura. Team HEA and Hunks are now proceeding to Ueno Park. Team Oops and Cousins are nearing their destination.

Zach! Grab the clue while I block Charla and Mirna.

Unsuccessful. Both teams headed to the roadblock.

At the fish market, Camp Colin chose Transportation, with the guys transporting 70% of the load. They are then directed to the pit stop at Tokyo Tower. Team GP finally arrived at Kamakura and are running to the buddha. Team HEA and Hunks arrived at the detour, transporting the fish.

Team GP arrived at the roadblock and Jill performed it.

All 3 teams completed the tasks and ran towards the pit stop.

Colin arrives at the rooftop of the skyscraper and rips open the clue.

The leaders are nearing the airport when Team Hunks arrived 4th, with Team HEA 2 mins behind in 5th. Camp Colin arrived and booked tickets to Pudong Airport, arriving at 2.45pm. Team Cousin and Oops claimed the clue in 6th and last respectively. Team HEA found that the 1st flight was fully booked and the 2nd flight touched down at 3.50pm in Hongqiao Airport, but were delighted to find out it was nearer to the clue than Pudong, meaning they would only be 10 mins behind. The remaining 3 teams booked the 2nd flight.

The flights arrived and teams rushed to the clue at the Pearl tv tower. Nicole rips open the clue.

Nicole
Walk 500 meters to a nearby Chinese restaurant to receive your next clue.

JOKE in 2nd, CC in 3rd. 10 mins later, Team HEA and Cousins arrived together in 4th with Team Oops in 6th. Team Hunks are trailing.

3 teams approached the restaurant.

Detour: Chopsticks or Chopped Beetles

In chosticks, teams are given a giant rice bin each containing chopsticks. They have count all the chopsticks in it, which is 1302 pairs. In chopped beetles, teams have a 2 bowls of beetles each, weighing approximately 4kg or 8.8 pounds. If they can face their fear, this would be a smarter choice.

Fearing the beetles, the 3 teams chose chopsticks. The remaining teams arrived, Team oops and cousins opted chopsticks, while HEA and Hunks chose Chopped beetles.

Team CC and Cousins came up with 1312 and 1298 respectively and were told to recount.

Team Hunks arrived promptly, and both teams found themselves on the same bus.

CC finished counting and came up with 1302. They left the place in 4th place, with Team HEA closely behind in 5th. Cousins came up with 1300, but were rejected. Team oops came up with 1409 and were als rejected.

Team God arrived at Jinmao in 3rd, and HEA 4th and CC 5th and all boarded a 2nd bus to Suzhou.

Team Cousins came up with 1302. They departed in 6th place. Zach suggested to change the task, but Flo wouldn't budge.

Cousins were shocked to realize they were yielded and turned over the hourglass.

Team Hunks arrived at the canal 1st and discovered a backtrack. They decided not to use it and ripped open the next clue, a roadblock.

In this roadblock, one team member has to rely only on a map and navigate the canals of Suzhou by paddle boat to their next destination. Once they found it, they have climbed onto the dock and drive a car 1/2 hour to the town of Wuxi and locate Plum Garden to retrieve the next clue. They must go back the same way as they came from and back to their partner. This task will take more than 2 hours, and with the sky darkening it's going to be tough.

Brennan volunteered and 2nd place Joke chose Jon, not wanting to use the Backtrack.

Bam! His boat hit a concrete slab.

Charla and Mirna left Jinmao Tower and boarded a 3rd bus. Team Oops counted the chopsticks again and came up with 1378, forcing them to recount.

Brandon and Nicole arrived at the roadblock 3rd, with the leaders a distance ahead. The 2 decided not to use the Backtrack and Nicole volunteered to perform the roadblock. Team HEA chose Margarita. Meanwhile CC had other plans.

We, Colin and Christie, decide to backtrack Charla and Mirna.

Colin decided to perform it. Brennan went the wrong way and could not find his way around, allowing Jon to take a huge lead and the 3 teams behind to be on par with him.

It's 7.15pm, but Flo/Zach still couldn't get the right answer.

Flo
I quit!!

Meanwhile, Colin caught up with Jon and both raced to the dock, with Colin in the car 1st.

Charla and Mirna arrived at the route marker, only to discover they had been backtracked!

They left in despair. Jon was 2nd in the car, with Margarita and Brennan together in 3rd and Nicole 5th. Jon and Colin had a nice time speeding. Uopn arrival at Plum Garden, they congratulated each other that their sinister plan had worked.

The 5 roadblock performers retrieved the clue and headed back.

Charla and Mirna arrived back at Jinmao Tower and turned over the hourglass.

Flo nodded and received the clue. The 2 hugged each other before heading off.

I'm so proud of you that you didn't quit!

The cousins decided to scare the wits out of JoKe and CC, but didn't know what to do. The sand ran out and both girls boarded the bus again, with oops next to them.

Colin completed the course 1st and ripped open the clue, and Jon 2nd.

Christie
Drive back to Shanghai and find Century Park, the next pit stop.

Margarita completed the couse 3rd, Nicole 4th and Brennan 5th.

Team Cousins arrived at the scene and Mirna volunteered. Team oops are still lost, but found it in 10 mins.

Back in Shanghai, a car pulled over and a couple arrived at the mat.

Team HEA departed 2nd at 12.18pm, JoKe in 3rd at 12.38pm, Team God 4th at 12.47pm and Team Hunks in 5th at 1.52pm, as they had a flat tire on the way to the pit stop.

CC booked tickets, schelduled to arrive 11pm in HK, and all the other teams followed suit.

Team Cousins departed last at 5.10pm and booked flights schelduled to arrive at 12.35am.

The lead 5 teams found cabs taking them to Victoria Peak. Team God found the bodyguard 1st and retrieve the next clue.

Go to the Clock Tower in Victoria Bay.

Sign up for one of 4 shuttle buses to a mystery location.
Buses leave at 7am, 7.30am, 7.55am and 8.32am. 1 team each on 1st and 2nd shuttle, 2 teams each on last 2.

CC signed up for 7am shuttle.
Team HEA for 7.30am one.
Team God and Joke for 7.55am.
Team Hunks for last one.

Charla and Mirna arrived in HK, heading to JAcky Chan's house and then to the clock tower and signed up for the last shuttle.
