Previously, on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!...

The three remaining teams made their way from the safari-infested Kenya to the bustling city of Cape Town, South Africa where they have all arrived at the Old Town House. The three teams remain. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

*cue TAR music*

Detour: DUTCH PRAYER or DUTCH PAINTING

In Dutch Prayer, go to the Dutch Reformed Church and find a set of 200 Bibles, in different colours and sizes, besides a group of Priests. Then, try to offer a Bible to the priests. However, each priest will only accept one Bible. When a priest accepts a Bible, he will take them to the altar which has the next clue.

In Dutch Painting, go to the South African National Gallery and collect a blank canvas and some paints. Then, copy an easy painting close by on the wall.

(Find the population of South Africa, as of any date between 2001-2003. You may NOT use Wikipedia or CIAWorldFactbook. Please send me the link in which you used to find the population. The link MUST be valid, or you will receive an addition in points.)

FAST FORWARD

Proceed to TABLE BAY.

ROADBLOCK: Roadblock: Halt! Who really does go there?

Go into The Castle, and enter the almost pitch-black dungeon. Then, feel around for a fake but almost lifelike human bone. Then, take it out to the courtyard where a supervisor will give the next clue.

(PM me a site where you can find a game involving a skeleton.)

Deadline and pitstop is Monday, November 13, 2006 at 7:30 PM EST.

The three teams left completed the roadblock, and are now making their way to the pitstop. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

*cue TAR music*

Route Info: Make your way to the pitstop, Table Mountain.

The scoring was broken down like this:

Arrival at Old Town House
1. Chris and Alex (+2)
2. Nancy and Emily (+4)
3. Joseph and Monica (+6)

Nancy and Emily completed the Fast Forward, +2 penalty for taking it.

Dutch Painting
Chris and Alex (+5 for choosing this, and order)

Dutch Prayer
(+10 if was completed)

ROADBLOCK
Chris and Alex (+2)

Because Joseph and Monica did not complete either the detour or the roadblock, they will receive +16.

Here was the order for this leg:

Chris and Alex - +52
Nancy and Emily - +53
Joseph and Monica - +73

Nancy and Emily seized the Fast Forward, but Chris and Alex pulled ahead, beating Nancy and Emily in a footrace for first. Meanwhile, Joseph and Monica fell behind, making the point gap VERY wide. Three legs and three teams remain. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

Because t had lost his internet connection, and was therefore unable to notify me of his problem, I will give him until Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 4 PM EST to send in the roadblock AND detour, however, I must give him a +1 added to his total time for this unfortunate mishap.

Look for the new points for Leg 10 on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 7:30 PM EST.

As much as I like T I would have to agree with JP on this. Nothing is ever assured in the race. You may be leading going to the pitstop but your taxi may break down!
