Besides, i certainly believe that only JP should receive the Immunity for being the best player so far. The picking the gold coin thing is just, well.. bull.

Redwings, could you stop the game because the festive season is coming? Say, Dec 24 to Jan 1? Much appreciated if you do.

Ok, can I laugh at the somewhat hypocrisy happening in this thread? People are whining about the game not being predetermined, and then redwings changed the rule just now, making it NOT predetermined, and the people who are complaining earlier are not complaining with the sudden change of rules?

redwings, it is tough being a host; you can NOT satisfy everyone in this or any other game you will run in the future. It is NOT YOUR PROBLEM if your players don't trust you enough to come up with a fair game. It's the players own decision to "brand" you as untrustworthy based on what they have seen. I, myself, have been proven wrong earlier when I complained about the Survivor twist, and I accepted it, because I give the Host the benefit of the doubt.

Also, as a Host, you should learn to control your players. This is YOUR game. You should know it better than any of us. You should also not let us have our way because if it happens once, it can happen again, and before you know it, WE will be running this game, not you. Then again, I trust your judgment on changing the rules about Immunity, so I won't force you to change it back to what it was (4 person Immuned).

Now as for the 4-person Immunity, I don't see anything wrong about it, and this is coming from someone who have played tons of Survivor games before. Survivor always have twists, and I'm not surprised when redwings pulled this "gold coin Immunity" twist or something.

Popo states:

Quote:
And Redwings, do i have to but remind you that only one team should get immunity because only one Survivor will receive immunity each week? I know you are not a Survivor fanatic, but i do have to remind you that by giving 4 immunities, you are not following the "Survivor Tribal Council" thingy that you came up and claim that it's going to be like Survivor. Because as far as i know, there has been no 4 immunities given off at one go in a particular episode of Survivor.

Now my question: "Aren't we allowed to come up with our own twists?" I think redwings twist shows creativity. His idea was NOT bounded by the normalcy that we call Survivor. As the Host, you have the liberty to add your own twists. Again, this is coming from someone who have played tons of Survivor and strategy games before, and hosted a season ForumsNet Survivor.

Consider this: If this game was run before Pearl Islands, and redwings pulled out an Outcast twist in our game, I'm pretty sure a ton of people would cry "unfair". But pull an Outcast twist today (I had an Outcast twist in my game but it didn't fall according to plan) and no one screams for blood.

Twists are part of the game. It spices things up, makes it interesting. The Hosts have the responsibility to make "responsible" twists, and the players MAY complain, but they shouldn't really have the power to debunk it. If players are not satisfied with your game, you can't force them to be happy, but you can't change the game either to satisfy them. They knew when they signed up for this game to expect twists. Or maybe just like me they didn't know?

Treat this as a learning experience so that you and all the hosts who are planning on running a game may learn how tough it is to run ORGs. You are lucky that you have us, your fellow ForumsNet members, playing your game. I had the experience of running a game with people I barely know complaining about my game and it wasn't fun.

******************

(You may skip reading this. LOL. For those who are voting, you may find this interesting)

So let's see. Why didn't Popo want Immunity for HIMSELF, and 2 others? He said he didn't want to vote for any of the 5 people not immuned. So what does that mean? We can assume that ONE of the Immunity holders (or ex-holders) was/is his target. Who could it be?

He was ok with me having Immunity, so I assume I'm not a target. Or he really thinks it's fair. That leaves TARfan1 and Alexander. Does it mean he's targetting one of them? But how can he be so confident to give up his OWN Immunity? My knowledge of Survivor only suggests one thing: he has majority of the votes and is feeling confident he is safe this week. OR... he just doesn't really think it was fair to have 4 people Immuned. Granted, he might not have played a lot of Survivor ORGs, but he's entitled to his own opinion.

That's the end of my rant.

Lol, your so wrong about the bottom.

He didn't want to vote for any of us because we're in an alliance 5 FIVE people and it so happened that only the alliance is up on the chopping block + Peetah.

So why not vote for Peetah? He isn't in your alliance anyway. Why give up Immunity?
