Yes, he does have first place but it's not about how many wins you get. It's about overall.

Leg 9 Summary

Compliments of Alexander

Departing of the pit stop in first place Racedude and John Vito opened their clue and discovered they had to search around for a flight to Bangkok, Thailand.Teams rushed to the airport and started searching around for the best flight to get to Bangkok earlier, finding three different ways of connecting through France, Racedude AND John Vito, Peetah and Aaron and Genius and Kris took their respective flights which were due to arrive at 5:15 am. Tarfan1 and Gretchen took a flight that arrived at 6:00 am, while JP and Mirna took one due to 10 minutes later. Heather and Charla took a flight which was due to arrive at 10:10 am.

Arriving at Bangkok teams drove themselves to the Temple of Dawn where they found their next clue along with a Fast Forward. In this fast forward teams had to Find the Reclining Buddha shrine in Bangkok. Once there, they had to find the marked area and read the following directions. You must play a traditional game of luck. In the Reclining Buddha shrine, there is a row of 108 urns. You will need to choose a bowl from a table and drop one coin in each successive urn. The Team selecting the bowl of coins with exactly 108 coins in it will win the fast forward.

Along with the Fast Forward clue they found a detour, in this detour teams had to choose between Public and Private. In Public teams had to take a bus to the city of Kanchanaburi, in Private teams had to search a section of a neighborhood a square mile wide, for their private cars which would take them to Kanchanaburi.

Peetah and Aaron decided to go claim the Fast Forward, they did and received instructions telling them to travel to the next pit stop of the race. Meanwhile Kris and Genius searched for their marked cars around the marked area, after 1.5 hours searching for the car, they decided to change tasks and go to the buses where Tarfan1 and Gretchen and Heather and Charla had already taken theirs. The other 3 teams also found their marked vehicles and started their way to Kanchanaburi.

Once there they received their next clue instructing them to find the Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua in the outsides of the city. While 4 teams hurried to search, JP and Mirnas driver was lost letting Genius and Kriss bus to catch up. Racedude and John Vito found Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua first, with both girl teams in a close second. Littleboy and Mary managed to catch up and find the place almost immediately after the girls. While he opened his clue Tarfan1 and John Vito started their roadblock by entering the temple full of tigers to retrieve their clue from a pot at the far end of the temple. As brave Charla and Mirna joined John Vito and Tarfan1 in the frightening task, JP and Mirna and Genius and Kris arrived to the task.

Reading the information before JP told Mirna she was doing it, when Mirna read the information she started crying at the frightening task ahead, seeing Mirna cry Kris took the task in order to encourage Mirna to take the four hour penalty. Mirna was the first one to get out of there, with a much scared Kris in a close second, opening their clues both girls discovered they had to travel to the Tiger Cave Temple the pit stop for this leg of the race. While they raced there, Mary made the Roadblock look easy as she went around the pit patting some tigers in the head in her way to the clue.

While her and Littleboy boarded their bus, Charla retrieved her clue. John Vito was next and Tarfan1 in last. While everyone made their way there Peetah and Aaron arrived to where they thought was the pit stop, host Redwings greeted them and handled them their next clue which told them the leg wasnt over yet and they had to find out which flag was the one they had just gotten and fly to that country, once there they had to find the Monsopiad Cultural Village to retrieve their next clue.

While Peetah and Aaron waited inside of the plane they saw Racedude and John Vito, Genius and Kris and Tarfan1 and Gretchen arrive to the same plane. The other three teams settled for another flight. Arriving at the Monsopiad Cultural Village teams found out they now had to make their way to the Kota Kinabalu Boat Jetty where they had to take a marked boat to a fishing trawler to retrieve their next clue.

As the first flight landed Aaron and Peetah continued in their way to the pit stop while the rest raced to find the boats.
Racedude and John Vito got there first with Tarfan1 and Gretchen hot on their heels, with the second plane landing Genius and Kris were still searching for the fishing trawler to retrieve their clue. Opening their new found clue both teams found yet another detour, in this detour they had to choose between Net or Trap.

In Net teams had to take their boat to a fishing platform and use a net to catch 15 fishes out of a marked pen to receive their next clue. In Trap, teams had to take their boat to a group of lobster boats and pull up a weighted lobster trap to get the clue inside of it. While Racedude and John Vito headed out for the Traps, Gretchen and Tarfan1 decided to go for the Net.
Meanwhile the teams of the second flight managed to catch up to the very lost Kris and Genius, with Littleboy and Mary passing them Genius and Kris followed them to the fishing trawler.

Both teams headed to the Trap detour with Heather and Charla and JP and Mirna in hot persuit. Racedude and John Vito managed to finish their task while the other four teams arrived to the lobster trap, opening their clue the guys discovered a roadblock, in this roadblock one team member had to hit three different targets using traditional Malaysian weapons (a bow and arrow, a blowpipe and a spear) after hitting all three targets both team members could run down the beach to the next pit stop.

Racedude started to work on the Roadblock as JP and Mirna cached up along with Tarfan1 and Gretchen and Littleboy and Mary. While Littleboy, JP, Racedude and Gretchen all battled it out without success, Genius and Kris cached up with Heather and Charla coming in seconds later. Now all six teams battled it out.

Genius managed to hit the target on his first try and advanced to the blowpipe throwing, Genius hit the target almost immediately going to the last task, meanwhile Littleboy hit both his targets with the bow and blowpipe battling Genius out in the last task. Meanwhile Peetah and Aaron arrived to the pit stop, as the winners of this leg they won a vacation to México compliments of American Airlines website.

Back at the challenge Gretchen and Racedude had both hitten their respective targets with the bow, while the kept going with the blowpipe, JP finally hit the target with his arrow. Only Heather remained to maneuver with the bow and arrow. Both Genius and Littleboy did their best efforts to use the spear but they were unsuccessful as Racedude, Gretchen and JP cached up with them in that order.

Charla kept giving Heather some encouraging words and they seem to function as Heather finally hit the target with the arrow, celebrating Heather advanced to the Blowpipe throwing. Finally Littleboy hit the target and along with Mary ran to the beach as fast as they could, however the other teams started to finish with JP and Mirna leading them, everyone was soon done except for Heather who had finally advanced to spear throwing.

Littleboy and Mary were soon passed by more athletic teams including Racdedude and John Vito and Genius and Kris, Tarfan1 and Gretchen battled it out with Mary, Mirna twisted her ankle thus making her team go slower. Racedude and John Vito finally stepped on the mat making them team number 2, after them Genius and Kris managed a third place finish. Littleboy was next to step on the mat, however he couldnt be checked in without his partner, this gave a chance to Gretchen and Tarfan1 to claim fourth place, Mary arrived seconds later.

Even though they were the fifth team to arrive host Redwings informed them they were marked for elimination and there for they had to wait aside until 30 minutes passed. This gave JP and Mirna a chance to take fifth. The time kept passing and Heather kept trying to hit the target, Charla kept encouraging her partner to do the hard task. However it was too late because when Heather finally hitted the target the time was over and Littleboy and Mary stepped on the mat. Arriving last Heather and Charla were eliminated, even though they were heading home both agreed it had been a great race. After wishing good luck to the remaining teams they headed off.

Leg 10

Teams begin with the following amount of points:
Peetah and Aaron - 3.4
RaCeDuDe and John Vito - 14.6
Genius and Kris - 18.9
TARfan1 and Gretchen - 21.6
JP and Mirna - 25.7
LittleBoy and Mary - 30.9

Clue: Take a marked boat back to Kota Kinabalu. Find a taxi and travel to the city of Sandakan and find the Puu Jih Shih Temple for your next clue. At the temple, you will need to search through thousands of tiny Buddha figurines with the one with the team name on it. Intersection: For this intersection, two teams will need to work together to finish the next task.

You will need to figure out for yourselves how to break into three teams of four. You must post your team below once you have decided. Once the three teams are formed, you will receive your task. NOTE: DO NOT POST YOUR TEAM OF FOUR UNTIL BOTH TEAMS HAVE DECIDED. THAT MEANS YOU WILL NEED TO TALK TO EACH OTHER AND DECIDE ON A TEAM BEFORE YOU CAN POST IT. I WILL POST THE TASK ONCE THE TEAMS ARE CREATED.

Team Intersection Task: Search through wikipedia.com for the city of Sandakan. On that page there is a section for School and Academic Institute. Using the guide provided, each team will have to translate one of the two codes into English to get the name of the school. Then, they will have to go to this site: http://www.sabah.edu.my/brdefault.asp?do=se&sho=ps and find the address of the school. Teams will need to pm the school name and address to complete this intersection.

NOTE: Both teams must send me their PM within ten minutes of each other for the answer to be valid.

REMEMBER EACH TEAM MEMBER HAS TO SEND THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL OF ONE AND THE OTHER TEAM MEMBER DOES THE SAME THING WITH THE OTHER ONE. EACH PM NEEDS TO BE WITHIN TEN MINUTES OF EACH OTHER FOR IT TO BE VALID.

I would like to ask a favor to the teams that loose next, if you could please leave some final words when you leave so I can add them to the summary.
