Lee,most recently the editor-in-chief and chief marketing officer of Nylon, joined the glossy in November, and is surely beginning to assemble her own team.In December,Allure's 15 contributing editors were told that their contracts would not be renewed. It's also worth noting that the cuts do fall into a discernible pattern,at least within the Condé Nast umbrella: GQ and Self let go of Mermaid Prom Dresses 2016 several staffers in November, while Details shuttered completely. On Thursday,Condé Nast posted several new jobs to its careers site. While Allure has not yet responded to our request for confirmation,we can say with certainty that something is up.Do you know something we don't? Drop us a line at [email protected],and watch this space for further updates. It didn't take long for news of the first fast fashion collaboration of 2016 to hit the web: just days after Christmas,nostalgia-loving retailer Nasty Gal announced that it had teamed up with Courtney Love on a collection due out on Jan.14.Called "Love,Courtney by Nasty Gal," the range promises to provide shoppers with pieces inspired by the Hole frontwoman and pioneer of the grungy Kinderwhore aesthetic,or,as the label posted on its Instagram page,to "make all of your 90s fantasies Cheap Prom Dresses Online come true."On Monday night,Nasty Gal released the first preview images of the collection, modeled by blonde bombshell Hailey Clauson.Unsurprisingly, the clothing is characterized as "badass lingerie you can wear all day," and it certainly harkens back to the "Live Through This" era, when Miss Love became known for her ripped tights, babydoll dresses, hair barettes, wrinkled slips,Mary Janes and the like.(A look that's most recently been referenced by one Hedi Slimane, who looked to Love's late husband Kurt Cobain for inspiration at Saint Laurent as well.) A glance at the collection's landing page on the website also hints that mohair sweaters and puff-sleeved smock dresses will be available, too.According to Vogue, the line will consist of 18 pieces and will range in price from $48 to $188.While much of Nasty Gal's clientele might not remember Vintage Prom Dresses (or had been alive) when the "Doll Parts" video was in heavy rotation on MTV,we doubt that will stop them from scooping this collection up en masse when it's released next Thursday.Alber Elbaz is a very hard act to follow — he was (almost) universally beloved and the dramatic story of his firing has made waves in the media.Lanvin's pre-fall 2016 collection provides the first glimpse of what a post-Elbaz world might look like, though it raises more questions than it answers.
