Austin McAllister started AMAC Customs at the age of 15 as a way to re-design his favorite sneakers in ways that major labels weren’t. Four years later, the Yeezy Boost 350s were released and Austin saw an opportunity.
“To be honest with you, I really wanted the Yeezy Boost 350 from Adidas and I struck out,” Austin told MTV News over email. “So I did the only thing I knew to do, and created my own!”
The custom sneakers, which go on sale this Friday at 6 p.m. CST, have a grey Nike Roshe Run base and an Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 pattern that Austin handpainted himself.
“This is by far the most hype I’ve Adidas ZX Flux Femme ever had Adidas Originals Frauen on any of my releases. I’m expecting they’ll sell out instantly,” he said “…considering there’s only 25 pairs being released.”

While the custom sneakers may not be easy to snag, they’re certainly easier than getting the real deal—and that’s not their only advantage.
“I think the main thing that separates my Yeezy customs from the actual Yeezy Boost is the price. I’m offering my customs for $179,” Austin explained. “Also mine will be more available. If customers strike out this Friday on my release, they’ll have another opportunity to purchase when I restock them on July 24!”
