Fantastic Mr. Fox, and  I thought it was very good!

One of the things I found very interesting about it was that it basically had as much swearing in it as a pg-13 film, but they replaced every swear word with the word "cuss".  So, a character might say, "What the cuss was that?" and in one scene a character says, "This is a real cluster cuss".

The Crazies.  I liked it.  Little farm town gets zombified and the sheriff tackles the problem. Good suspense flick.  Had an "Oh crap!" type ending.

I saw Dear John a few nights ago.  I didn't care for it since it's not my cup of tea.  There was really not that much action going on.  Sure.  Maybe the guy was cute (as my wife and 15 year old daughter pointed out constantly).  But what was the point of the movie?  When it ended I said "That's it"?  I couldn't help but wonder how much happier I would have been had they done that 2 hours earlier.

On the upside...I watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief last night.  I liked it. I just kept thinking how much more better Dear John would have been if there had been Medusa and a minotaur chasing the guy.

If you like the Percy Jackson movie, try the books... they're soooo much better!  I read the books first and was so disappointed in the movie... Sad

Anyone seen Shutter Island?  I'm nearing the end of the book.  So the movie will already be spoiled for me.   Cry

I saw Shutter Island and the previews portray it as a scary movie but it really isn't.  The part where they show the old lady looked scary in the previews, but that was the only time they showed it.  It was more suspenseful than scary.  You really should watch it.  It has a nice twist at the end. (Which we figured out about half way through.)

Shrek 4.  It was actually not too bad, and much much better than the 3rd one.  I do recommend just watching it in 2-D though.  There wasn't anything effects wise that was special enough to warrant the extra ticket price for the 3-D screen.
