Apocalypto directed by Mel Gibson. A lot of people walk out of my theater. Hmm  Huh The story is good and touching. 9/10.

Went to see The Nativity Story with a friend, it was pretty good... as we both noticed they took a few liberties (the kings arrived on the night of the birth, rather than six days later).

Then saw Deck the Halls the next day with my dd.  It's amusing in places... typical "holiday screw up" type movie...

Nope, i have no interest with books. I will only read a book only when many people tell me it's good. Lol. I'm feeling so shallow. Lips Sealed

LOL.. Popo, at least you were entertained!!  Over Christmas we watched that movie about the fighter plane that had artificial intelligence?  Have no idea what the name is, because they were watching when I came in (my brother has built his own "home theater" in his basement.. was pretty fun to watch movies down there!).  Also re-watched The Devil Wears Prada and Talledega Nights (both hilarious in my book.)

Finally got to see Eragon yesterday, since it sort of got pushed aside in my rush to get things ready before Christmas... it was ok, rather "lord of the ringish."  To me, you could tell it was written by a teenager (he was only 16 when he started the book, 18 when he finished and published it), and you could tell he was very influenced by Tolkien.  Definitely didn't have the depth of Tolkien, at least the movie didn't show it.. I'll have to read the book... I'm wondering if the second book (The Eldest) has more depth, since he was older when he wrote it... will be interesting to see.

Want to go see Dreamgirls this weekend, and Rocky Balboa (which I've heard is as good as the original Rocky!)

Is it the one with Jamie Foxx? It could be 'Stealth'.

I don't recall Jamie Foxx being in it... it had Jessica Biel and the guy from Sweet Home Alabama (can't remeber his name at the moment).  Her plane got shot down over Korea, and he and the AI plane were trying to rescue her...

OK, checked IMDB, that's the movie... Stealth... it was pretty good, what I saw of it... I came in about midway thru.  My brother and dad were watching it...

I spent the long Christmas and New Year's weekends catching up on all the DVDs I'd missed throughout the year and wanted to see.

The Descent - a bit of a letdown after hearing how scary it was

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants- boo hoo at the ending

North Country - fantastic

Invincible - fell asleep half way through, sorry Markie

Devil Wears Prada - very good, right by the book

Flightplan- LOVED IT!

Derailed - really really good. what a twist!

The Wicker Man - sucked

Cinderella Man - outstanding

Step Up - your typical dance flick

The Sentinel - didn't watch

I saw Dreamgirls and Casino Royale most recently. All of the singers performed very well in the former and I'm hooked to James Bond with the latter.

I just saw the Pursuit of Happyness, before that I saw Night at the Museum, before that I saw Borat, and before that I saw Man of the Year.
