It was Bonnie Hunt... Loved the movie. I was a weirdo who cried when I saw it. When it came out , the movie was so my life.

My husband was coaching football at Indiana State University at the time and I was in managment with UPS. We both travelled a all of the time and actually had two maintain 2 residences because of our positions. We felt like the nanny saw our kids more than us.

It wasn't long after that I left UPS and Coach A took a HC position at a lower level in Florida. We now see our children and are raising them within 20 miles of aunts,uncles, grandparents etc....

We own the DVD and still watch it from time to time and think....that was us!!!

I loved the original Cheaper (with Clifton Webb - I love Clifton Webb!) and it was actually based on the book about the real family. Unlike this one which just played off the idea of someone with 12 children.

The new one will have Martin and Hunt - along with all the original kids. Saw the report on one of those "news magazine" shows... whatever comes on before Jimmy Kimmel...

ETA: My favorite bits in the old one... the father buttoning his vest top to bottom and bottom to top, to see which was more time efficient. And doing tonsillectomies on all the kids at home, becaues it was more efficient (he was big on efficiency.. )
