JP Confessional: Even before the Race started, Heather and I made an alliance with Ann and Reichen. Also, we made an alliance with our favorite, The Cousins. I'm sure this will help as a lot, and I can only hope I can keep my word to support the alliance.

Get to the nearest Metro station and travel by subway to Grand Central Terminal, where the next clue awaits. You have $1 for this leg of the race.

Teams are scouting for money.

Fortunately, all teams got enough money and are off to the subway, except for Simon and Trump.

The cousins, Heather/Jp and Reichen/Ann are in the same carriage. They decide to form an alliance, called ***** (fill in the blanks).

If it's Colin and Christie, i may have considered. But with a jerk like Jonathan. Yucks. He will slap or shove me, that's for sure.

Phil/Jeff and Colin/Jon decided not to join and formed Camp Male.

Meanwhile, at another carriage, Eliza/Chris, Rob/Jenna, Tara/Wil, Clay/Diana and Kris/Jon formed Camp Co-ed. Their goal is to get rid of Romber.

The 3 remaining teams, Adam/Kendra, Romber and Simon/Donald are on the 2nd train. The couples decide to rid of Simon/Donald, then Colin/Jon.

Donald
I'm not taking any darn subway. I have 20 Rolls-Royce in my garage.

Simon
You're whinier than Flo and Kendra combined.

The lead 10 teams arrived at Grand Central Terminal, and Kris/Jon found the clue 1st.

Jon
Travel by subway to the Memorial of the World Trade Center.

All teams got on the same train, just as the trailing teams got their clue. Tara/Wil and Phil/Jeff located the memorial and recieved a parchment.

Tara
On Sept 11th 2001, disaster struck downtown New York. Thousands of innocent people died.

Wil
Before you go pay your respects to the victims.

Phil/Jeff
Lay a rose on the memorial before you go.

Kris, after reading cried.

Heather
One thing is for sure, Jonathan is not as bad as Osama.

The teams ripped open the clues.

Travel by subway to any station in Queens.

Then grab a taxi to JFK airport.

Then get on one of 3 flights to Minneapolis, Minnesota

Eveyone sped off, choosing different stations to alight. The trailing teams caught up and the airport race has just begun.

Camp Forum secured 6 seats for themselves.

Let's pray than Colin/Jon don't make it.

They did, along with Phil/Jeff. Kris/Jon, Tara/Wil and RobC/Jenna got on the 2nd flight. Everyone else on the last.

We are taking 1st class, right?

1st flights lands, lead teams drove to the Mall of America.

I'm only 14 and I can't drive.

The cars arrived at the Mall, with 2 teams running towards the Yield.

Previuosly, teams are free to use the yield. Now it costs US$20.

ANyway, Colin/Jon got to it 1st.

Colin
We are going to yield...............................nobody, coz we love everyone.

Jonathan read the next clue and found a detour.

Cedric
Now the detour has 4 choices, each with its pros and cons. There are 2 standard choices, the Pay-and-go (PAG) and the Mystery. In PAG, teams pay US$200 to skip the entire detour. Each team may do that more than once in the race, but only one team per leg. In Mystery, teams give up the other choices and complete a Mystery one. However, they may not change their minds after deciding on it. One team per leg, but unlimited tries throughout the race.

Potatoes or Coasters

Jonathan
In potatoes, you have to count the number of potatoes in a bin. Get the correctanswer and u may pass.

Phil
In Coasters, you have to collect 15 coasters from 15 stores found in the entire mall. After that, exchange the coasters for a train set and start assembling. Upon completion, the next clue will be given.

Colin/Jon forked $200 and skipped the entire detour.

Colin
Travel to Los Angeles, California and find Rodeo Drive. The clue awaits outside Tiffany's.

Phil/Jeff chose Potatoes, while Camp Forum chose Coasters.

Jeff

The other 3 teams found 2 each. Meanwhile, teams on the 2nd flight are on their way.

Colin/Jon booked a flight leaving for LA at 8.45pm, arriving at 10.50pm.

The TV hosts counted 834 potatoes and learnt that they have to go to LA. Camp Forum completed the train sets and sped off.

Reichen
Hurry people. We gotta Choo-chooo.

Tara/Wil and Rob/Jenna chose Potatoes, while Kris/Jon chose Coasters. They kept giving wrong answers. Kris/Jon swiftly found all their coasters and started on the train set. Last flight touches down. Kris/Jon completed the detour and sped off in 6th place. Tara/Wil folowed in 7th and helped Rob/Jenna with the answer, who departed in 8th.

Donald/Simon chose Potatoes, Clay/Diana chose Mystery, others chose Coasters.

Donald
Counting potatoes is not rocket science.

Simon
For a dumbo like you, it is rocket science.

Camp Forum and Phil/Jeff booked seats on a flight arriving 32 mins later.

Clay/Diana had to give away 300 American flags to passers-by. They started singing, and gave away half in 15 minutes. Those at Coasters are doing fine, except Amber was shopping around for jewellery. Clay/Diana finished 9th, Eliza/Chris 10th, Adam/Kendra 11th. Soon 12th-placed-Romber finished leaving the 2 men behind.

Kris/Jon got on the 2nd flight to LA, while Tara/Wil and Rob/Jenna make do with one arriving 1 hour later.

Eventually, Donald/Simon finished the task, with SImon sweating while Donald went shopping for ties. The trailing teams found a flight leaving at 6am, hours behind.

Colin/Jon arrived at Rodeo Drive 1st and found a SURPRISE.

Teams have the liberty to open one of 3 clueboxes, containing differnt surprises. One will give $100, the next will force the team to yield themselves, while the other is Anybody's Guess. Teams may use it unlimitedly, and more than one team may use it every leg.

Jonathan selected a cluebox and and read the instructions.

Jonathan
Congrats, you won $100.

Colin opened the cluebox in front of Tiffany's.

Colin
Travel by taxi to CBS Television City and find a certain recodring studio.

They sped off. The next 5 teams arrived.

Ann
I'm feeling lucky.

Unfortunately, she yielded her own team for 15 minutes.

Reichen
Mum!!

Phil/Jeff and Kris/Jon rushed to CBS.

Camp Forum waited for 15 mins before proceeding.

Colin/Jonathan arrived at CBS late at night and found a RB outside a studio.

Who likes the number 10,000?

1 million is better, but 10,000 is fine with me.

That team member, has to go to the stage of THE PRIC IS RIGHT. He/she has to play the Plinko game. Get 5 chips in the 10,000 slot. If not, he/she has to go to the back of the line.

Eventually, all teams found themselves waiting for the studio doors open at 9am.

Get on a bike and ride to Kodak Theathre, the 1st pit stop.

JP completed the task 2nd, Mirna 3rd, Kris 4th, Reichen 6th, Eliza 7th, Amber 8th, Tara 9th, Rob C 10th, Kendra 11th and Clay 12th. Simon fumbled his way but could not do with the plinko chips.

Eventaully one team arrived at the pit stop.

Colin and Jonathan, you're team #1. You also won a 7 day trip to exotic Iraq.

The good and bad news is that this is the only tribal council. After this, we have a merge, 2 teams together to form a larger team.

Eliza/Chris/Adam/Kendra: Team CAKE ( i love this name)
Rob/Amber/Phil/Jeff: JRAP
Clay/Diana/Rob/Jenna: CDRJ
All teams are driving cars on this leg.

It's now 6pm. The teams were flagged off and Colin rips open the clue, where he learns his team has to go to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Teams got into their 8-seater Volvo and drove to LAX.

Ann
Reichen, if you get lost on the way to LAX, you'll have to move in with me and do knitting all day!!

JP/Heather
*chuckle*

Team CCMJ, CAKE, Forumsnet and TWKJ are on the 1st flight, arriving at 9.30am. Team JRAP and CDRJ are on a later flight arriving at 11.05am. Mirna rips open the clue , with her team in 1st, and discovers a detour. They chose not to go for the Mystery of PAG.

Party or Arty

Jonathan
In Party, go to Copacabana Beach and search for a 25 square meter plot and start digging for a scarab. Exchange the scarab for the clue.

Charla
In Arty, drive yourselves to a slum in Rio and find a painter. Paint the flag of Japan to receive the next clue.

Team CCMJ chose Arty, along with CAKE. Team Forumsnet chose Party. Team TWKJ chose the Mystery.

Tara
Rappel down the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Team Forumsnet are having fun digging, except JP was looking at girls sunbathing.

Team CCMJ hired a cab driver to lead them to the next destination. When they arrived, they gave him $15 but the driver demanded full fare, $45. Colin and Jonathan quarrelled, but the driver threatened to throw them in jail.

Meanwhile, Kendra looks at her surroundings.

We are in ghetto Brazil. This place is wretched and disgusting. The people here keep breeding and breeding. Yucks.

Colin decides to throw the $45 at the cab driver and saved his team from going to the police station. They found the painter and painted the flag and earned them the clue, now in 1st place. TEAM TWKJ had fun rappelling and finished the task 2nd.

The 2nd plane touched down. Team Forumsnet found the scarab, now in 3rd, with Team Cake finishing the masterpiece, now in 4th.

Eliza
Drive yourselves more than 300 miles to Sao Paulo and find the famous Snake Museum.

Team CDRJ and JRAP chose Party. CDRJ finished the task 10 minutes ahead and drove off to Sao Paulo.

Team TWKJ were first at the entrance of the Museum. They found the Yield and Surprise but decided not to go for them. The team discovered a 2 person RB.

Wil/Kris
Who likes Fear Factor?

Wil and Jon volunteered.

Jon
Don special gear and stay in a glass tank for 5 mins with 200 snakes. After that, receive the next clue.

Team CCMJ decided against the Yield but went for the Surprise. Jonathan's pick helped them win $100. Team CAKE and Forumsnet appeared. Charla and Colin, Chris and Eliza and Heather and Reichen decided to perform the RB.

Jon and Wil are in 1st, but Jon seemed all right, only Wil was shivering. They completed it successfully, and realized that their team had to go to the 2nd pit stop, somewhere in the slums of Sao Paulo where they will find a certain well.

Charla and Colin put on a brave front. Chris and eliza seemed all right. Heather feels freaked out and hugged Reichen.

JP (thinking)
Reichen is not the only hunk here!!

The lead 4 teams raced to the Pit Stop.

Kendra
Oh great!! Dirty slums again.

Cedric
Tara, Wil, Kris and Jon, you're team #1. You've won a trip to beautiful Afghanistan.

Reichen, Ann, Heather, JP, you're team #2. You've won a trip to beautiful Algeria.

Colin, Jonathan, Charla and Mirna, you're team #3.

Adam, Kendra, Eliza and Chris, you're team #5.

Team CDRJ arrived at RB ahead of JRAP. Rob C and Diana chose to perform the RB, while Romber volunteered. In the end, it's a race to the finish.

Rob, Amber, Phil and Jeff, you're the last team to arrive. I am sorry that I've to eliminate you.

Teams gathered round and were told they were back to their original 10 teams. They will depart as they arrived.
