Last leg in The Amazing Race 8, What If?, the Bransens grabbed another first place finish and the Godlewskis settled for second. The Blacks couldn't catch up with the pace of the race and were eliminated. Will the Rogers be able to pick themselves up from the back of the pack? Who will be eliminated, next?

Departing the Pit Stop at 1:15 pm, the Bransens opened their clue to learn they had to travel over 100 miles to the town of Anniston, Alabama and find the worlds largest office chair, a roadside attraction built 24 years ago.

All teams are now driving to their next destination.

Carrisa Gaghan : The largest office chair in the world? How big could it big? *starts wondering and making tons of viewers watching the show exclaiming how cute she is*

Hanging onto their lead, the Bransen family arrived at the worlds largest office chair in first place. Opening their clue, the family discovered they needed to drive 18 miles to Talladega, Alabama and find the International Motor Sports Hall of Fame.

Tommy Linz : The Weavers lost their dad on the race track.. *was about to say something nasty about the Weavers when he spotted the baton Megan is holding*
Megan Linz : That's better, continue driving.

Arriving at the International Motor Sports Hall of Fame in first place, the Bransens opened the next clue and learned they had to make their way to the Talladega Super Speedway track where they would choose a multi-person vehicle known as a party bike and, pedaling as a Team, complete one lap around the track.

Wally Bransen : Oh, this is so tiring, i can't do it!
Lauren Bransen : This is far more tiring then we all thought.
Lindsay Bransen : Look, this is good for your butt!
Lauren Bransen : *gives a wide smile* Let's go faster!
*and the Bransens finished in astonishing speed*

Finishing first, the Bransen family earned the clue that informed them to drive 260 miles to Hattiesburg, Mississippi and find the Southern Colonel. Teams had to figure out that the Southern Colonel was a trailer home dealership containing their next clue.

Mark Schroeder : *starts crapping about how this race should be around the world*
Stassi Schroeder : Dad! You are so stressing us out, give us peace!

Arriving together at the Southern Colonel, the Linz and Bransen families opened their clues and discovered they would be spending the night at the dealership. Teams needed to search among 37 trailer homes for one of three departure times for the next morning: 7:20 am, 7:40 am and 8 am.

The Bransens didn't search properly and claimed the 7.40 am departure time while the Linz hang on with the 7.20 am. The Gaghans arrived and snatched the last 7.20 am trailer available moments befoe the Godlewskis who settled for he 7.40 am one.

The Rogers, Schroeders and Paolo all settled for the 8.00 am trailer.

The next morning, the Linz and Gaghan families opened their clues at 7:20 am to learn they had to drive 84 miles to Richland, Mississippi and find Les at a BP gas station. With all the Teams on the road, the Gaghan and Linz families maintained their lead to arrive at the BP gas station tied for first place.

The next clue revealed that they had to drive 151 miles to Madisonville, Louisiana and find the Fairview Riverside State Park. Already in last place because they needed to get gas at the BP, the Roger family made the mistake of taking a smaller highway believing that the interstate would take them too far out of the way.

Brock Roger : Dad! You told me to go onto the highway and now you are blaming me for it! We are now squarely in last place, we are sooooo done!
Brittney Roger : Don't give up! We can still catch up! All is not over yet!

Arriving at the Fairview Riverside State Park in first place, the Linz clan encountered a Detour. In this Detour, Teams had to choose between Work and Play. In Work, Teams would use a two-person handsaw to cut four slices off a log 12 inches in diameter. In Play, Teams would make their way to a riverboat and play 21 against a professional dealer. To win a round, the hand of each Team member needed to total more than the dealers hand. Once Teams win three rounds, they would earn their clue.

Sharon Godlewski : Which should we go for?
Christine Godlewski : We should really discuss this!
Tricia Godlewski : But we don't have enough time, this is a race!
Godlewskis : Very well, Play then!

Finishing the Detour in first place and opening their clue, the Gaghan family discovered they had to drive across the worlds longest bridge spanning Lake Ponchartrain to the city of New Orleans, park their cars on Esplanade Avenue, and run through the famed French Quarter to Preservation Hall, a 255-year-old landmark and Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

Carrisa Gaghan : We are in first place!
Bill Gaghan : Good work kids!
*and Carrisa starts humming a tune with her voice*

All teams have now finished their detour and are now driving to the Pitstop... and one team eventually stepped onto the mat first...

Phil : Gaghan Family, with 700 points, you are team number one.
Billy Gaghan : Yay! Do we get lots of soft toy and burgers for coming in first?
Phil : Not exactly, but you win a trip for four.
Tammy Gaghan : That's nice.

The Bransens, Godlewskis and Linz all parked their cars and were shocked to see each other, in a close footrace to the pitstop which includes shrieks and screams coming from the girls, all three teams landed on the mat.

Phil : Linz Family and Godlewski Family, because both families landed on the mat at the same time and i cannot concentrate on spotting who came in first *shakes head* because all of you are screaming, with 680 points, you are team number two.

Lauren Bransen : What about us? We came in together!

Phil : Bransen Family, with 678 points, you are team number four.
Wally Bransen : That's unfair!

Phil : Schroeder Family, with 610 points, you are team number five.

And in a tight race to avoid elimination, the Rogers who were terribly lost again and the bickering Paolos finally got accurate directions to the pitstop and one team eventually stepped onto the mat before the other...
