I watched The Aquatic Life this morning - it was OK, very "Royal Tennenbaumish."  I'm watching Better Off Dead tonight...

We watched a 7 times Oscar Winning movie, filmed in 1946.
Totally a must see for good movie entertainment.

Colleen, had I known "Dirty Dancing" was on, I might have been up with you!

I've never tired of this movie, the storyline
isn't so great but the music and dancing surely is!  Cool

I watched 4 movies earlier!

1. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events - definitely one of the best films I have seen in terms of cinematography/directing. Reminds me of Alfonso Cuaron in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Unfortunate Events is very entertaining, and I might get a copy of the movie for myself! Awesome! I might also buy the books as well.  Cool

2. Meet the Fockers - I haven't finished it yet, since I have to sleep earlier, but there were a few "laugh out loud" moments IMO. Maybe I didn't get to watch the good parts?

3. Seabiscuit - good movie, touching and inspiring.

4. Spider-man - hehe, I just caught this on TV and watched it again. Of course it was great!  Grin

well.... these weekend I've watched Batman Begins in the moviehous.... nice... yet there are parts where I got bored....

I've also caught TopGun with Tom Cruise last night from HBO..  oh... how nice the 80's was... Grin

also a Matthew Broderick musical film which I just saw while looking for a show to watch... but unfortunately I didn't got the title... it was a story of a Musical con salesman who goes town to town to trick people on making a band....  and I think their soundtrack is 'Till There Was You'.... nice movie...

Pau, I think it was "76 Trombones", a remake of a 60's musical which
starred Robert Preston,  Shirley Jones, and  Ronnie Howard,
who was about 6 yrs old at the time.  A great musical!

Pau, I totally LOVE musicals Cool  There aren't enough of them any longer.
Maybe because of the expense in filming.

If you get a chance, watch the movies with Ester Williams
swimming and the synchronized swimmers.
You may have never heard of her.  She was an Olympic swimmer,  went on
to make movies.  She was also married to Fernando Lamas at one time.

A lot of older movies are much better than today's films.
Definitely the ones made in the 40's - 60's.   Classics indeed Cool

One night last week, Mr L was napping in his chair and I was flippping channels.
Stopped on one with "Border" in the title, starring Angelina Jolie & Clive Owen.
A very interesting story!

The Music Man - the original had Robert Preston (and was much better than the TV version.. Smiley)

Just a bit of trivia - little Ronnie Howard plays the little brother in the older version.  There was a Happy Days episode where Howard and Marion are going to the movies and The Music Man was showing.  Marion stops outside the theatre and says "This boy reminds me so much of Richie.".. LOL.. thought it was a great line.
