We went to see Superman Returns yesterday... was quite good.  Reminded me of the first one with Christopher Reeve... even used the exact same music... I was all good until they had the big "Dedicated to the memory of Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve" at the end.. then I got all misty eyed..

When a stranger calls ( the re-make ).  I was surprised that this movie only got one star.  I thought it was pretty good.  It got a few screams out of me.

I finally saw Capote.. OMG... it was outstanding.. I see now why Phillip Seymour Hoffman won the oscar.  He was amazing!  Having grown up during this time (I was born 2 months before the killings in Kansas happened).  I remember watching Capote do the "talk show circuit."  I remember watching "In Cold Blood" as a child - we didn't see it at the movies, but when I was about 10 or so, it was on television one night, and I watched part of it.  The only thing I remember was the killing of the Clutter family at the beginning of the movie, and the two killers taking off.  Robert Blake played the Perry Smith role (the one that Capote became close with and spent so much time with getting information for the book.)  I always loved watching Truman Capote when he was on talk shows.. he was very funny, and very smart... there was no one else like him.

I think I may have to go back and watch "In Cold Blood" as an adult, and see if it's different for me... so many times that's the case.  As a child we remember certain things that as an adult aren't truly the focus.  The horror of the killings stuck with me as a child, I think as an adult, I would see more of the whole story.
